OVERVIEW
The Khorfakkan beach-facing amphitheatre is located at the base of Al Sayed Mountain near Khorfakkan Beach, a much-loved tourist attraction in itself. The 1,700m2 arena can accommodate an audience of over 3,500. The semi-circular structure features a stone façade with 295 columns and 234 arches. The complex nature of the architecture is awe-inspiring.
As mentioned, the architecture was inspired by the Romans. However, those with a keen eye will find elements of Islamic design too. In fact, the white limestone used for the project was sourced from Oman.
To ensure that the open-air venue stays comfortable during the hotter months of the year, the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre has a state-of-the-art temperature control facility. An AV system and outdoor air conditioning have also been installed to ensure that visitors are comfortable even during the peak summer months.
Other highlights include a futuristically-advanced sound and lighting system.

THE WATERFALL
Adjacent to the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre lies Khorfakkan Waterfall, a spectacular attraction that is 45-metres long and 11-metres wide. The amphitheatre has several windows that open towards the waterfall overlooking the Khorfakkan Corniche.
