JOGGING IN ABU DHABI
ABU DHABI CORNICHE
When it comes to the best places for jogging in Abu Dhabi, the first name that comes to mind is Abu Dhabi Corniche. Residents should take advantage of the beautiful jogging track in the heart of the capital. The stretch is around eight kilometres long and it offers beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf and the city’s incredible skyline.
Alternatively, you can also run on the beach. Within a five-minute walk of Corniche Beach, there are over 1,100 free parking places. Access to the family and singles areas costs AED 10, while the public beachside offers free entry.

YAS MARINA CIRCUIT
The Yas Marina Circuit is a Formula 1 racetrack that transforms into a leisure paradise twice a week. The circuit gives locals a chance to indulge in a variety of different fitness activities like jogging and cycling. In fact, it has one of the finest cycling tracks in Abu Dhabi. TrainYasTM is a fitness program where cyclists and runners can register for a 2-hour session. You can call 800 YAS (927) to plan your visit.

AL RAHA BEACH
Although running around a residential area may not appear as exciting as running at the Yas Marina Circuit or the Corniche, Al Raha Beach is an attractive part of Abu Dhabi that’s endowed with a lovely waterside walkway.
Starting from Al Zeina, leading to Al Muneera and then to Al Raha, the track offers the picture-perfect scenery of Yas Island and the Gulf’s gorgeous shimmering seas. EASTERN MANGROVES PROMENADE

The lengthy route that runs from the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Hotel down into the city is ideal for a morning walk. The city skyline in the background gives a mesmerising example of urban and natural landscapes working in harmony.
Connected to Anantara Eastern Mangroves Hotel and adjacent to Mangrove National Mark, Eastern Mangroves Promenade boasts a mix of fantastic restaurants, health, beauty and leisure outlets and a supermarket.

UMM AL EMARAT PARK
Runners have another option to exercise…the 1.2 km green jogging track at Umm Al Emarat Park. Launched in 2020, the track is surrounded by palm trees and plants. It is an ideal location for runners and joggers to work their muscles while unwinding their minds.
You can also find people doing different group exercises in the park. After jogging, you can also join these sessions to reach your fitness goals. Note that the entry fee of the park is AED 10.

AL HUDAYRIAT ISLAND
The 3,000-hectare island, Al Hudayriat Island is not just a beach getaway. The Hudayriyat Mar Vista jogging track is ideal for those who want to do some training at a slower pace. Put on your running shoes and take a leisurely stroll around the tranquil jogging track.
You can also head to the beautiful Hudayriyat Beach that has a dedicated running path or visit 321 Sports, a thrilling sports venue with a jogging track. The Bike Park in Al Hudariyat has a jogging track as well.

AL WATHBA CYCLE TRACK
If you’re looking for a desert run, the Al Wathba Cycle Track is a good option. About 45 minutes away from Abu Dhabi, there is a 30 km long paved trail that is popular for cycling among the dunes and dirt/sand roads. It is one of the most scenic cycling destinations in the UAE. Although running is allowed here, it is advised to keep an eye out for bikers.
Loops of 8, 16, 20, 2, and 30 kilometres are marked on the track. You can easily access the restrooms and change rooms. That the best time to visit is either sunrise or sunset, however, the track is also illuminated at night.
