The Jais Sledder at Jais Adventure Peak is one such activity that has taken the country by storm since its launch. Dubbed the region’s longest toboggan ride, it offers a one-of-a-kind experience for people of all ages. We’ve put together everything you need to know about Jais Sledder.
ABOUT THE REGION’S LONGEST TOBOGGAN RIDE
This sled ride in Ras Al Khaimah runs on a low-slung track that swerves through the Hajar Mountain range. It is built to meet the highest technical and physical safety standards and stretches’ over 1,840 metres in length,
Even though the maximum speed for the ride does not exceed 40 km/hour, it ensures an exhilarating experience for all riders.
JAIS SLEDDER TICKETS
The Jais Sledder ride prices vary depending on age limits. You can get Jais Sledder tickets for a single ride or a set of three rides.
- Adult Ticket: AED 45 (Single Ride) | AED 100 (Three Rides)
- Adult+Child Ticket: AED 60 (Single Ride) | AED 125 (Three Rides)
Please Note
- If you purchase a three-ride ticket, you must complete all three rides on the same day.
- You are required to sign a waiver before getting on the ride. For participants aged below 18, parents/guardians need to sign the waiver.
JAIS SLEDDER TIMINGS AND CONTACT
Here’s a quick overview of the operating hours and contact details to help you plan your experience on the region’s longest toboggan ride.
- Tuesday to Thursday 12:00 pm – 06:00 pm
- Friday to Sunday 11:00 am – 06:00 pm
Please note that Jais Sledder remains closed on Mondays.
The last ride at sledder concludes at 05:30 pm and the ticket counter closes between 04:30 pm and 05:00 pm, depending on the people lining up. So plan your time accordingly to avoid any inconvenience. You can contact Jais Sledder at +971-4-815-7333.
JAIS SLEDDER CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
To be able to ride the Jais Sledder, you must fall within these criteria.
- At least 3-years-old
- Able to wear safety restraints properly
- Have an individual ticket (one ticket per person)
- Have valid proof of identity
You cannot ride the Jais Sledder if you do this.
- Are under any form of drug or alcohol influence
- Are pregnant
- Have a heart condition
- Have previous neck or back injuries
- Are prone to seizures
- Suffer from other medical conditions that may worsen on the ride
Please Note
- An adult driver must accompany people less than 135 cm tall.
- The park management reserves the right to close down or change ride timings at any time owing to unforeseen circumstances.
- Participants must, at all times, remain properly belted and seated throughout the duration of the ride.
- Your hair and any loose clothing must be tied and secured before you ride the Jais Sledder.
- Food, backpacks, pets and/or any loose, sharp or bulky objects are not permitted on the sled.
- For safety purposes, you must not touch the track at any time before, during, or after the ride.
- A maximum of two people are allowed on a sled, wherein their combined weight should not exceed 150 kg.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT FOR THE JAIS SLEDDER?
Yes, passengers must be at least 3 years old to ride the Jais Sledder. Additionally, they should be able to properly grip the front handle while the ride is in motion.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE JAIS ADVENTURE PEAK?
All activities in Jais Adventure Peak require you to be dressed comfortably. You need to make sure you wear flat shoes with good grips and that your attire does not include loose items like a scarf.
WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE AT JEBEL JAIS?
Jebel Jais experiences consistent weather conditions, with temperatures usually a few degrees lower than in the mainland and cities. However, the mountains do sometimes receive rain storms and sand storms. In case of bad weather, the Jais Sledder management may halt operations for safety concerns.
CAN I RECORD MY JAIS SLEDDER RIDE EXPERIENCE?
No, cameras and/or mobile phones are prohibited on the ride. However, the Jais Sledder management does plan to offer go-pro rentals soon.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE MY JAIS SLEDDER BOOKING?
Yes, you can change your booking. There will be no penalty for up to 30 days from your booking date, as long as you contact the management for booking change 48 hours before your scheduled experience.
