How to generate a Medical Record Number (MRN) in Dubai
If you are registering for the COVID-19 vaccines in the UAE, you are probably familiar with the word ‘MRN’. If you are new to using the DHA app and are unclear about what exactly it is, you have come to the right place! We take you through all the details you need to know about the Medical Record Number and how you can generate it when applying for your vaccination.
WHAT IS THE MRN?
MRN, or Medical Record Number, is a unique number generated by the DHA licence holding facilities as an identification for a patient’s medical records.
HOW DO I GENERATE AN MRN?
If you do not have any medical records or do not remember your Medical Record Number, you can generate one on the Dubai Health Authority official website or app.
To generate your MRN online, head over to the DHA website.
You will be directed to fill in your Emirates ID number, which can be found as the “ID Number” just above the center on the front of your Emirates ID card.
Once you fill in your Emirates ID number, you will receive an OTP to the mobile number that is linked to your ID. If your personal phone number has not been linked, you can head over to our guide on linking your phone number to your Emirates ID online.
After filling in the OTP, you will receive your MRN number. You can use this to register for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment in Dubai (subject to availability).
