ABOUT HAPPY BARK DAY IN DUBAI
Debuting in December 2021, Happy Bark Day is the first pet-only café in Dubai. Unlike cat cafes in Dubai and dog-friendly restaurants, where patrons come in to mingle with their furry pals, Happy Bark Day cafe in Business Bay is where the “pets” are the “guests”.
With Happy Bark Day written in bright neon green letters on a bone-shaped sign, the cafe is loud and proud about its target market. And the welcoming pastel-coloured cafe provides the perfect environment for the happy pups to wait on the swift arrival of their tasty eats.
The owner Hyunsuk Ku, a 38-year-old native of South Korea, is a pet lover who prepares healthy meals and treats for her furry customers. After her beloved dog Maum fell unwell a few years back, Hyunsuk enrolled in a pet nutrition course to learn more about keeping the animals healthy and happy. Now Hyunsuk is bringing hugs and happiness to her beloved customers on a daily basis.
MEALS AT HAPPY BARK DAY CAFE IN DUBAI
This “luxury pet dessert boutique” offers birthday cakes, doughnuts and cupcakes for your canine or feline buddies. The menu changes every day with the sweet treats prepared fresh. Puppachinos, pupcakes and afternoon tea goodies on a tiered platter are popular options.
Happy Bark Day charges between $10 and $20 (about AED 35 to AED 75) for meals, with a special birthday cake for a dog costing around $55 (AED 200).
Accompanying “hoomans” can enjoy free self-serve coffee while their little puppies have themselves a super fun time!
