STEPS TO GET YOUR DUBAI DRIVING LICENCE ON YOUR PHONE
Having your driving licence on your phone is quite helpful. You may need it as proof of identity, even when not driving a car. Here are the steps to get your Dubai driving licence on your phone.
- Log in or sign up via the RTA App using UAE Pass. If your RTA account and UAE Pass aren’t linked, you will receive a notification asking you to link them.
- Personal details like name, email, mobile number and nationality will be derived from your UAE pass. Verify and create a new username and password.
- Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number.
- Next, at the bottom of the app’s screen, you can tap “My Docs.”
- If your UAE Pass and RTA account has been linked already, this step doesn’t apply to you. Enter your driving licence issue date and TC number if the link has not been made.
- Next, open the “My Licence” tab to find your licence.
- For the last step, tap on the card and click the “Add to Apple Wallet” option. You have the option to add your vehicle registration card too.
Your licence will be saved on Apple Wallet, and the digital version will contain all the information on either side of your physical licence. Your vehicle registration card and licence will be available offline in the Apple Wallet.
HOW TO LINK EMIRATES ID AND UAE PASS
To get your Dubai driving licence on your phone RTA, link your Emirates ID and UAE Pass to your RTA account with these steps:
- Log in to your RTA account.
- Click on the “My Profile” tab.
- Click on the “Link Emirates ID” button.
- Enter your Emirates ID number and follow the prompts to complete the linking process.
Once you have linked your Emirates ID and UAE Pass to your RTA account, you can access your driving licence and other vital documents on your phone using the RTA app.
