THEORY CLASSES AT GMDC

Theory driving classes at GMDCA are available in English, Arabic, Urdu and Hindi for effective communication of the RTA rules and guidelines. These classes are available at the Galadari branches in Al Quoz, Al Qusais and a handful of other locations.

CAR DRIVING COURSE

The LMV (light motor vehicle) driving course at Galadari Motor Driving Centre is available in three different time schedules. You can opt for the regular sessions, the Friday sessions or the Night sessions. Details for each course are listed below.

REGULAR LMV COURSE

If you register for the regular course, you can opt for classes on one of the following:

• Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays
• Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays

These training sessions are available at the standard 1 class (1 hour) per day or you can fast-track your training with 2 classes (2 hours) per day.

FRIDAY LMV COURSE

The Friday course comprises of 2-hour (two classes) or 4-hour (four classes) sessions of training.

• Timings: 07:00 am to 12:00 pm | 01:00 pm to 05:00 pm

NIGHT LMV COURSE

People with day-time jobs who cannot register for the regular sessions can choose to sign up for the night shift sessions. The evening classes take place between 08:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

MOTORCYCLE RIDING COURSE

Anyone who wants a motorbike licence in Dubai can sign up for the GMDC motorcycle riding course. There are three types of courses available.

REGULAR COURSE

You can take 1-hour sessions everyday to complete your number of training hours. The regular course allows you one class per day.

• Timings: Between 06:00 am and 05:30 pm

SHIFT DUTY COURSE

This course allows you to choose your own training hours. You can schedule one training session (1 hour) per day between 06:00 am and 12:00 pm and 03:00 pm and 05:30 pm. These classes can be availed of from Saturday to Thursday.

FRIDAY COURSE

The Friday course comprises 2-hour (two classes) sessions of training every Friday until the completion of your course.

There is also the option to sign up for Friday and Saturday sessions, whereby you can attend two classes on Friday and one on Saturday.

• Timings: 07:00 am to 12:30 pm | 01:00 pm to 05:00 pm

GMDC FEE STRUCTURE

The Galadari Motor Driving Centre fee structure for the LMV driving course and motorcycle riding course is the same, as detailed below.

Please Note:

• The above mentioned fee structure is applicable to both automatic and manual transmission cars.
• A 5% VAT is applicable on all Galadari Motor Driving Centre fees payable.

GMDC UAE REGISTRATION PROCESS

You can visit one of the many Galadari Motor Driving Centre locations for registration. Alternatively you can also register with GMDC online via their official website. However you choose to register for your GMDC driving classes, make sure you have the complete set of documents required for it. These include:

• Copy of your passport
• Copy of your residence visa
• Original and copy of your Emirates ID
• 2 recent photographs (passport size)
• Eye test report
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your sponsor
• Sponsor’s visa and passport copy in case they are an individual

If you already hold a licence from your home country, you will also need to present the original and a copy of the home-country licence.

Once you have successfully registered and paid for your intended course, you need to get your eye test done. The eye test can be done at the GMDC facility or at any of the RTA-approved optical centres in Dubai.
