Al Nasr Cultural & Sports Club, popularly known as the Al Nasr Club is a prominent football club in Dubai. The world ‘Al Nasr’ translates to “victory” in Arabic and the club has lived up to its name with 17 championship wins in the UAE League.

Founded by a group of young men in 1945, Al Nasr FC is a professional football club in Dubai which started operating from a small plot of land owned by Mohammad Ali Zainal in Al Ghubaiba.

The home ground of the Al Nasr football club is the Al Maktoum Stadium. It also has a football academy that caters to different age groups.

AL WASL FOOTBALL CLUB

Al Wasl FC Or Al Wasl SC, nicknamed the Cheetahs, is another popular Dubai football club. The Al Wasl Football Academy in Dubai is also well-known for its intensive camps designed for budding footballers looking to take up the sport professionally.

Similar to the Al Nasr FC, this club is also a part of the prestigious United Arab Emirates Football League. The club was first established in 1960 by Al Zamalek Club. Al Wasl SC won their first championship in 1966 when they defeated Al Shabaab in the final match of the Canada Dry Company Cup. Za’abeel stadium is the club’s headquarters.

In 1974, the Al Shula and Al Orouba clubs were merged together with Al Wasl SC Dubai. In 2010, AL Wasl FC was awarded the “Club of the Century in the UAE” by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).

Over the years, Al Wasl has triumphed in several international championships including the Federation Cup and the GCC Champions League and won the league title seven times. They have also won the President’s Cup championships twice.

SHABAB AL-AHLI CLUB

Shabab Al-Ahli Club in Dubai, also known as The Red Knights, was founded in 1958. Located in Al Qusais, it is a United Arab Emirates professional association football club. In 2017, the Dubai CSC and the Al Shabab football club merged to create the Shabab Al-Ahli FC. 

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum serves as the president of the Al-Ahli FC Dubai. It is one of the most successful Dubai football clubs.
