How to obtain Emaar move-in permit and move-out permit
Finding your dream home and selecting a good moving company are not the only things you need to consider before moving to a new home in Dubai. This is especially true if you move in or out of communities developed by Emaar. The property developer also has some rules in place that you must take care of when moving homes in Dubai, including obtaining the Emaar move-in permit.
How to get your move-in/out permit in Dubai?
The master developer introduced their ‘Move In/Move Out’ policy in November 2013 for tenants and landlords in Emaar communities.
Once the company receives and verifies the completed documents, they will issue the Emaar move-in permit (MIP). This documentation procedure doesn’t involve fees or charges for the moving party. However, defaulting landlords will have to pay their pending maintenance fees.
The documentation ensures that the developer maintains the current contact information of all the occupants. It ensures that there is up-to-date information about the vacancy and occupancy for each unit so that damages to the common areas can be spotted and repaired. Emaar also uses this information to assist residents with special needs during the move in/move out process.
You have to specify whether you are a tenant, holiday home operator or homeowner. Next, you must specify the community you are moving into or out of.
Here are the details that you may be required to provide.
- Unit number
- Street number
- Name of moving company
- Name and number of supervisor
- Personal Contact details
- Date and time
- Name and number of security representative
