ABOUT THE DUBAI SHOPPING FESTIVAL
Popularly known as DSF, the Dubai Shopping Festival runs for six epic weeks and features exclusive discounts from the region’s biggest shops, malls, stores, brands and retailers. This makes it one of the most anticipated annual events in Dubai.
The festival’s first edition was held in 1996 and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum conceived it. Dubai Shopping Festival 2024-25 will be the 30th edition of the event, which has played an essential role in promoting Dubai’s retail industry and tourism.
Regarding the Dubai Shopping Festival, the sky is the limit, and you can expect anything to happen. Over the years, multiple world records have been set at DSF, such as records for the world’s longest chain, the world’s most extended sofa, the largest bowl of biryani, and the largest shopping bag. In 2013, the first-ever moving train fashion show was held inside the Dubai Metro!

DRONES LIGHT SHOW
Dubai Shopping Festival is well known for its spectacular fireworks displays and light shows. The great news? The immensely popular DSF Drones Light Show is back again this year and will take place at Bluewaters and The Beach JBR from December 6th 2024, to January 12th 2025.-0pol
There will be brand-new choreography and inspiring new soundtracks for this year’s edition of the longest-running drone light show in the region. These shows depict stories from Emirati artists told through these lights. For 36 consecutive days, this awe-inspiring spectacle will lighten up the Dubai skies, with twice-nightly performances at 07:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
The shows are free, but we recommend getting there early to secure a prime viewing spot.

TUNES DXB
Tunes DXB is a series of free music shows at 10 locations in Dubai, including Khawaneej Walk, Box Park, Bluewaters, Dubai Festival City Mall, Last Exist Al Khawaneej and Dxbike – with more locations to be announced.
Tunes DXB will be held between the 5th and 14th of January and will see local talent take the stage with their music and dance. Get ready to enjoy music that’ll have you leaping off your feet to dance and sing along. Genres from Bollywood and pop to metal and hip-hop will take over, so let’s wait and see.

KID LAROI AND JONAS BLUE LIVE
Right from day one of the DSF, we will see a spectacular performance from global superstars Kid Laroi and Jonas Blue.
20-year-old rapper Kid Laroi caught the attention of the internet for his viral hit, STAY (ft Justin Bieber). He’ll be belting out his chart-toppers and Jonas Blue, known for bops such as PillowTalk, Mama and By Your Side.

REWIND RELOADED
Love 90s Bollywood music? Then here’s a concert you must add to your list. Rewind Reloaded is a musical event hosting top artists from the good ol’ days of Hindi music – Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet Bhattacharya at the Coca-Cola Arena on December 10th for a memorable night of music and nostalgia.
From Narayan’s Rangeela and Sanu’s Tujhe Dekha to Yagnik’s Tip Tip and Bhattacharya’s chunnari chunnari, you’ll have a great time listening to these incredible tunes. Doors open at 06:30 pm.

TINARIWEN
Award-winning Tuareg band Tinariwen will be coming to Dubai to perform their unique brand of music for the DSF 2023.
Tuaregs, who hails from the Saharan deserts, are known for their dance-able music. Tinariwen combines West African beats with rock-and-roll to spark energy in the listeners. And that’s what we can expect at Dubai Opera on December 12th, where they’ll perform.
If you’ve heard their hit albums, elwan or Amassakoul, prepare to listen to tracks from them live.

RUSSELL HOWARD LIVE
Laughter is the best remedy for…everything. So, here’s your chance to laugh your heart out at the live performance by Russell Howard. This British comedian has a Netflix special – called Recalibrate – which has won many fans worldwide.
This time, he’ll be performing in Dubai Opera on December 11th, bringing his brand of humour that observes the everyday and mundane to find the funny.

BLIPPI: THE WORLD TOUR
Your children might be familiar with the name Blippi. This popular YouTube entertainer makes videos for the little ones, making them laugh and giggle. Now, as part of the Wonderful World Tour, Blippi and his best friend, Meekah, will be coming to Dubai and having the little ones scream with joy.
Blippi will perform at the Coca-Cola Arena on the 12th and 13th of December – for a two-day delight for the children. You might have fun watching Blippi and his funny adventures, too (similar to how there’s a strong adult fanbase for the Peppa Pig series).

Slava’s SNOW SHOW
A’ight. How about something different from music and dance for entertainment?
Acclaimed Russian theatre artist Slava Polunin is bringing his SNOW SHOW to Dubai. This theatrical piece has won the hearts of many and won him many awards, including the Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. SNOW SHOW involves Slava playing the role of a clown and has elements of crowd play, colours, and chaos – invoking inspiration and sparking the audience’s imagination.
SNOW SHOW, one of the top Dubai Opera shows, will be performed in Dubai from the 8th to the 10th of December. Get ready to be mesmerised – and you don’t have to know Russian to enjoy this show.

SOLE DXB
If you’re a Dubai resident, you’re probably very familiar with this name. SOLE DXB has become associated with Dubai’s hip crowd – a festival celebrating street culture and contemporary lifestyles.
To be held from 8th to 10th December at Dubai Design District, you can expect DJ sets, loads of music, street tournaments, food trucks and snacks, workshops, talks and more. This year’s headliner is Busta Rhymes (the rapper known for Don’t Cha, Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See, Break Ya Neck and more).
We’ll see Hip Hop 50, where performers including Nas, Big Daddy Kane, Soujla, ODDISEE, DJ Shadow, Lil Zey, Omar Offendum, Ma-Beyn, and more will take over the stage. Yeah, SOLE DXB is the time to go crazy!

ENOC RAFFLE
