Apartments
The accommodation of choice for a large population of residents in Dubai, apartments in the emirate offer practicality and affordability in one great package.
But a majority of prospective tenants looks to live in areas that have the best facilities, which is why results of searches on Bayut.com are a fair guide to gauge and areas popularity. In the outgoing month of December 2016, the area most people wanted to move into was Dubai Marina, which accounted for 11% of all searches for rental apartments in Dubai. The area is defined by high quality residential blocks, waterfront views and an active lifestyle. Next on the list was Bur Dubai, the cultural hub of the city that attracted 8.3% of queries. With 6.3% of searches, the third spot was claimed by the super luxurious Downtown Dubai, while Jumeirah Lakes Towers was on the fourth spot with 5.9% of queries. Suburban residential paradise Dubai Silicon Oasis claimed the fifth spot by taking home 5.6% of the searches for rental apartments.
Villas
In the villa category, the most popular area was Mirdif, that attracted 14.2% of queries for rental villas. Dubailand, with its affordable residential options, was on the second spot with a 9.3% share of queries, while 8.1% of searchers were interested in properties in Jumeirah, landing it the third spot. The fourth spot was claimed by Al Barsha that accounted for 7.5% of search hits, while the top five list was wrapped up by Arabian Ranches that claimed 6.4% of the queries.
Offices
When it comes to office spaces, Business Bay stands head and shoulders above the rest of localities in Dubai. The area got a clear majority, 29%, of search queries and the reasons of its popularity, among others, include centrality, proximity to key installations and conducive business environment. Next on the list was JLT with 19% share of queries, followed by office spaces along Sheikh Zayed Road. Rental spaces in older business districts of Deira and Bur Dubai clinched the fourth and fifth spots, claiming 6% of searches for rental offices in December 2016.
