Even the fussiest eaters will find somewhere to fill their bellies in the Dubai Marina! From cheap and cheerful shawarmas for a quick snack, hearty and wholesome Indian fare for that day when you just need to have a curry, to healthy vegan options for those who don’t believe in ‘cheat days’, you’ll find it here. As one of the city’s more prestigious addresses, there are a fair number of fine dining restaurants in Dubai Marina as well, encompassing a range of cuisines from British to Latin American and more. Nearby Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR) also has several options if you’re hungry – there’s really no excuse for picky eaters who choose to stay in Dubai Marina!

If you’re the kind of person who really comes alive after dark, you really can’t go wrong by choosing to stay in Dubai Marina. There is no shortage of licensed venues dotted around the neighbourhood and you’re sure to be within walking distance of a few! From casual and relaxed pubs to upscale discos, beach clubs (with their own swimming pools if you’re not a fan of the sea) and even the much-loved Pier 7 – where every floor has been taken over by a different kind of eatery with their own unique vibe and ambience…take a trip to Mexico, England, Asia and more…without leaving the building!
Shop till you Drop
Dubai truly is a shopper’s paradise and spending your holiday in the Dubai Marina means you won’t have far to go to drop your bags off after a shopping spree! The wonderful Dubai Marina Mall (brought to you by the same people behind Dubai Mall, Emaar) is filled with world famous retail brands spread over 140 outlets, a fun-filled children’s play arena, cafes, restaurants, a cinema (being on holiday is no reason to miss the latest blockbuster!) and a massive supermarket.
Or just make the minute-long trip across the road to Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR) to The Beach, an outdoor mall with even more home, lifestyle and fashion brands. The Walk, also in JBR has a curated selection of shops along it, selling everything from high-end clothing to quirky art pieces and more.
It’s an adrenaline Junkie’s playground
If spending your time off sitting by a pool to catch some sun isn’t quite your cup of kahwa, never fear. Dubai Marina and JBR are home to some of the most heart-racing outdoor activities the city has to offer! The world’s longest urban zip line, the Xline has its home in the Dubai Marina and is an incredible way to see the neighbourhood from a completely new perspective! Or head to the outdoor gym, the Street Workout Park, conveniently located beside Skydive Dubai – also a great place to get the adrenaline pumping! The Beach, opposite JBR, is the go-to destination for watersports enthusiasts, and offers up a variety of activities from flyboarding to jet skiing…there’s even an inflatable water park in the water that, by itself, is a perfect reason to visit Dubai Marina!
For a truly unique way to explore Dubai Marina, we strongly recommend stopping by the bright blue bicycle rental kiosks to pick up a cycle – the area has cycle tracks and plenty of pavement space for cyclists. In fact, you’re unlikely to ever run out of options for fun and exciting outdoor activities in Dubai Marina!
People of all Ages are Welcome
While Dubai may seem full of skyscrapers that aren’t really meant for families, the reality is far from the case! There’s plenty of fun activities you can do with kids in the city and the Marina is no different. In fact, vacations in Dubai Marina with kids are sure to be filled with plenty of fun, safe activities for kids of all ages, and along with The Walk, always put on fantastic, fun-filled events for the entire family, from arts and crafts workshops to live performances, street art to BMX demos…you’re sure to be entertained no matter how old you are. The same is true of the Dubai Marina Mall, which as an indoor venue is perfect for visiting during the hotter months.
Always Stay Connected
…and we don’t just mean with the complimentary WiFi found in most areas of Dubai Marina that visitors find invaluable on their holidays in Dubai! While we can’t really see a reason to ever leave the area, if you must, the Dubai Metro has two stops that conveniently service the area – Damac Properties and Jumeirah Lake Towers (the metro will also helpfully take you right to the airport if you’re flying out of Dubai International’s Terminal 1 or 3). If getting around the pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood is something you are concerned about as well, just hop on the Dubai Tram. The tram runs along the Marina, with convenient stops at all the area’s hotspots (including JBR). The tram also connects with the Palm Monorail, so it’s a great and relatively inexpensive way to take in not only the Marina but the engineering marvel of the manmade Palm Jumeirah.
