International City
The most affordable locality for renting studio units in Dubai in February 2017 was the suburban International City. Situated in the north-western strip of the emirate, International City offered studio units for as little as AED 28,000. However, the average rental cost for the smallest of unit types was AED 33,000 in the outgoing month. International City is a well-built community that is highly popular with bargain hunters. Ample availability of grocery stores, marts, restaurants and green areas make it a pleasant community to reside in. Although it’s a bit far away from the city centre, commuting is easy through RTA bus routes. All in all, the facilities and low cost of renting make it highly popular with both bachelors and families alike.
P.S The bargain paradise — the amazing Dragon Mall – is at a walking distance from International City.
Deira
Bordered by both Dubai Creek and the Arabian Gulf, Deira is one of the oldest settlements in the city. It is certainly the cultural hub of the city and by far its most vibrant locality. Living here means immersing oneself into distinct cultures from around the world that shape life in Deira. From South Asians to far easterners, you can make people from across the world living in total harmony here. Nights in Deira are full of life and streets remain crowded with shoppers well past midnight. And the delectable cuisines from around the world make life in Deria even more delicious. The area is well-connected thanks to Dubai Metro, RTA buses and traditional dhows. Studio apartments in Deira cost AED 34,000 per annum in February, making life here all the more attractive.
IMPZ
International Media Production Zone is a cosy community in the newer part of the city and lies close to several key areas. Dubai Marina, The Palm, Ibn Battuta Mall and JLT are all relatively close by. It is also a little distance away from the city’s crowded parts, so life here is pleasantly peaceful. Amenities needs for routine life are well in supply and navigating the community is extremely easy. The average rental cost of studio units in IMPZ was AED 41,000 in February 2017.
Dubai Silicon Oasis
The green and serene community in the western suburbs of the city is truly an oasis for inhabitants. Well-maintained premises, parks, gardens and a quiet environment make living in Dubai Silicon Oasis truly blissful. Units are of high quality and the community’s administration takes great pains to keep the area prim and proper. The average rent of studio units in Dubai Silicon Oasis in February was AED 42,000.
Discovery Gardens
Discovery Gardens is a quiet residential space just off the main Sheikh Zayed Road. It is characterised by tree-lined roads and vast green spaces, making living here a delightful experience. It not only has beautifully built buildings that offer quality units, the rental costs are also very affordable. Given the peace of mind life in the community guarantees, an average rental cost of AED 46,000 for a studio unit in Discovery Gardens seems a bargain. In case you want some fun for the evening, you can head to the nearby Ibn Battuta Mall, which itself is an experience on its own.
Dubai Sports City
Looking for a community that nurtures an active lifestyle? Well, Dubai Sports City is you go to place then. With a number of sports fields and arenas, gyms, running and walking tracks, the area is perfect for outdoor aficionados. The locality offers a fresh stock of units that are high on quality, practicality as well as affordability. Like the rest of Dubailand, Arjan is also envisioned as an entertainment, retail and hospitality destination of the future, so the prospects of a vibrant life in the area in the years to come seem bright. In February, studio units in Arjan commanded a rental price of AED 48,000 on average. But given the plans for the community, the rates are unlikely to stay low for long.
