The real estate landscape of the UAE has been pioneered by certain master developers who truly understand the pulse of this city. Our Developer of the Month series highlights these trailblazers, tracing their stories and understanding their visions. This month, we’re taking a look at Arada, a developer from Sharjah who has made it in the news for being behind stunning experiences.
About Arada
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Alsaud of Saudi Arabia, established Arada in 2017. Initially focused on developments in the Emirate of Sharjah, it has now expanded to other parts of the UAE and Australia.
Arada has a portfolio of mixed and residential properties along with a few notable brands. These include Wellfit, a gym chain, Zad, a food truck concept, Artal, an Emirati fashion platform and more
Arada’s properties
Arada’s first project is Nasma Residences at Al Tai, Sharjah, a well-designed community for families with a central park and abundant greenery.
Aljada is another development by Arada in Muwailah, Sharjah. This development includes residences, offices, hotels, shops and recreational options. In fact, they have signed a deal with Emaar Properties Hospitality Group to open three hotels in Aljada. Since 2021, some homes have been handed over, and the entire project is expected to be completed by 2025.
Another notable project by Arada is Masaar in Al Tai, a community featuring gated villa communities, with restaurants, cafes and other recreational facilities. Currently, property handovers are ongoing and will continue until 2026.
Upcoming Developments
Arada announced this year that they would be developing Anantara Sharjah Resort and Anantara Sharjah Residences, five-star beachside properties, that will elevate relaxation in the emirate. Construction is in full swing and will open its doors to the public in 2027.
Their first project in Dubai is Jouri Hills, located in Jumeirah Golf Estates. A community featuring villas, mansions and townhouses, this expansive greenery-laden development is to be handed over in Q2 2025. Then, they announced a collaboration with Armani Group to develop Armani Beach Residences in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah. The renowned architect Tadao Ando is designing this to create a stunning luxury beachfront destination on the island. It is to be completed by Q4 2026.
Arada is developing W Residences, a waterfront property at Dubai Harbour. Once completed, this hotel will be managed by Marriott and will offer spectacular views of Dubai Marina, JBR and Palm Jumeirah. W Residences will be completed in Q4 2027.
Additionally, Arada is developing student accommodations equipped with a wide range of amenities to ensure ease and comfort. Named Nest, this project in University City features unique amenities, including a music hall, art studios, a library, running tracks and more.
They are currently planning property development in Australia, worth AED 6B. The construction of 2,500 homes will start in 2025. It is a much-needed development as Sydney currently has a housing shortage.
