DAMAC Properties’ success
DAMAC Properties was founded by Hussain Sajwani, an Emirati entrepreneur, in 2002. Their real estate journey began with the introduction of freehold ownership rights for expatriates in Dubai, starting with Marina Terrace, a 38-storey residential tower in Dubai Marina. Following this, they launched DAMAC Waves, purchased land rights for Marina Towers and began building a strong sales and marketing unit.
Their core team and values have led to their success and reputation in the market, attracting buyers from across the world. DAMAC gained international interest by collaborating with The Trump Organization to build a community around the Trump International Golf Club in Dubai. This community, DAMAC Hills, is a beautifully planned district that houses the UAE’s first residential wave pool.
This was followed by the second community to be built around the Trump International Golf Course, which was designed by Tiger Woods. Now called DAMAC Hills 2, this community offers a unique relaxing lifestyle.
Their Ghalia project made the news for being a Sharia-compliant development, with unique features like floors dedicated to women only and independent dining areas for families and ‘unaccompanied’ men.
Outside the UAE, they have built their reputation in London with their DAMAC Tower Nine Elms, where the units have been designed by Donatella Versace.
