About Buhais Geological Park
Nestled within the ridge that once served as a bridge between Jebel Buhais and Jebel Aqah Mountains, this Sharjah park pays an ode to Sharjah’s historic past. It was designed by Hopkins Architects, a team of London-based designers committed to showcasing the history of Earth.

The Archaeological Site at Buhais Geology Park
On the outdoor trail, you will find iron and bronze age tombs, six fossils of cone-shaped molluscs, as well as 93 million years old Ophiolite boulders (a segment of oceanic crust found at sea level) that show traces of prehistoric hues of red and black.

How to get to Sharjah Geological Park from Dubai
- Take the Dubai-Al Ain Road (E66)
- Take exit 30 and continue to the Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road (E77) toward Hatta/Oman.
- From the fourth roundabout, take the first exit onto Dubai-Hatta Road.
- Once you reach the roundabout in Madam, exit towards Umm Al Quwain-Al Shuwaib Road (E55).
- From the second roundabout, take the third exit to reach Jebel Buhais.
