ABOUT BOOMAH CAFE ABU DHABI
Opened in 2020, Boomah is an owl cafe in Al Seef Village Mall, Abu Dhabi. The cafe has two entrances with two air-conditioned rooms, separated by a glass barrier. They have warm hues of brown, ambient lighting and beautiful decor that creates a forest-like feel.ย
Talking about the vision for Boomah, the owner of the cafe, Mohamed Al Shehhi said:
โThe idea is inspired by the Japanese owl cafรฉs, but we enhanced the idea in a way that would satisfy the Middle Eastern society.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT BOOMAH CAFE?
OWLS, OF COURSE!
Boomah Cafe is home to nine beautiful owls, each with a distinct name and feature. You can find Saif (great horned owl), Venus (tawny owl), Tuffaha (barn owl), Saturn (rock eagle owl), Neptune (snowy owl), Mars (Asian wood owl), Shaikha (spectacled owl), Ghost (greyish eagle owl), Sun (Eurasian eagle owl) and Ousha (pharaoh eagle owl) at the cafe.
Each of these owls lives under the supervision of trainers who ensure they are well-fed and well-rested (they sleep 12 – 16 hours per day!).
You can pet the owls, hold them and learn more about them and their personalities under the supervision of the trainers. Now that’s the very definition of quality time if you ask us!
FOOD AND DRINKS
Boomah Cafe offers aรงai owls (bowls) topped with banana, raspberry, chia seeds, coconut and flakes. Aside from bowls, the cafe serves delightful milkshakes, coffee and other beverages.
You can also expect to find multiple flavours of latte, tea, mocktails and juices, along with oreo, strawberry, vanilla and raspberry blends.
