The farm aims to help reduce the city’s dependence on imported organic products. It is spread across six hectares of land and produces an impressive variety of organic vegetables and fruits.

Greenheart Organic Farm UAE
Greenheart Farm was established in 2012 by Elena Kinane. Located in a desert in Sharjah called Quata, the farm is just an hour’s drive from Dubai. Guests coming to the farm get the chance to explore grow-houses, shaded shabras, open fields and interact with a number of farm animals. The production system at the farm is 100% chemical-free. The farm specialises in organic produce and uses several sustainable practices like underground water reserves to water plants.
Apart from regular farm-grown vegetables, herbs and fruits, the on-site shop also sells bread, cakes, biscuits, salads and more. Guest can also buy meat, fish, eggs and other dairy products from the farm.

Desert Organic Farm
Specialising in harvesting more than 50 different crops over four hectares of land, Desert Farm Organic is another organic farm in the region. The farm relies on sustainable farming practices to grow fresh produce, which includes melons, broccoli, chillies, celery, kale, carrots, fennel, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, cauliflower, okra, sweetcorn and so much more. It also has date trees that grow different varieties of the fruit. In addition to the plant-based produce, Desert Organic also sells organic eggs.

Emirates Bio Farm
Established since 1997, Emirates Bio started with the aim to provide environment–friendly fertilisers in the UAE. Their fertiliser was designed as an alternative to imported varieties that contain harmful pathogens. The company now produces 500 tonnes of organic fertiliser per day that is not only used by local farms but has also been exported to many international markets.
Emirates Bio is one of the UAE’s largest private organic agricultural farms. Located between Al Ain and Dubai, the farm is only around an hour and a half drive from Dubai. Occupying over 250,000 square metres, the farm is working towards developing a sustainable food system in the region by producing high-quality organic crops on the local level.
Emirates Bio Farm welcomes visitors who are eager to learn more about the country’s farming practices. Moreover, visitors also get a chance to shop for organic produce at the farm’s shop, located onsite. There is also an outdoor dining area and a restaurant with items made from fresh and organic ingredients.
A view of the desert dunes, the chance to ride a tractor and dining options are some of the highlights of the farm. Tickets are required only for entering the greenhouse and fields; the rest of the amenities are free for guests.
Apart from its onsite store, Emirates Bio also has an online store with organic products that are harvested during the season — with a minimum order price of AED 140 and free shipping for orders that exceed AED 200.

The Camel Farm
Opened in 2018, the Camel Farm is a cattle farm which has a variety of animals like camels, rabbits, deer, goats, chicken, sheep, turkeys and more. Activities at the farm include camel riding, animal feeding sessions, camel hugging therapy and more. Visitors can also enjoy a hot cup of Arabic coffee at the farm. The farm is closed during the months of July, August and September. Visitors must note that the farm does not accept credit or debit cards, so make sure that you carry cash with you when you visit.

Camelicious
Camelicious has been providing pure camel milk to the region for more than 35 years. It was established by the Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL) in Dubai. The lab conducts scientific researches and implements effective camel farming methods for milk production to assure the best quality.
