Get the lowdown on Dubai’s finest areas from Bayut’s staffers
Considering it’s our job to advise residents of the UAE on the best neighbourhoods to buy and rent in, we thought we’d ask our own staff to take a snap of where they live and tell us what they love about living there. We received lots of pictures of different neighbourhoods with reasons why those are the best areas of Dubai. However, we’ve narrowed the list down to the best of the best.
Uptown Mirdif
“Living in Uptown Mirdif for the past 4 years has been a real blessing. What really sets it apart from other areas of Dubai is the benefit of having everything you need a few steps away, such as a gym, clinics, food court, salons, coffee shops etc. I also love the fact that it has a gorgeous park just a 2 min walk away and it there is easy access into the city. I definitely see myself staying here for many more years!”

The Springs
“I moved to Dubai in 2008 and the Marina was the place for me. Then, as time went on, my life changed – and so did my location. I moved to The Springs as it has a family feel about it. I enjoy the freedom of walking my son and dog in the park every day. It has a great community spirit, a great location for amenities and access to the main high roads. In short, it IS the best area of Dubai!

The Greens
“I like how close it is to Black Palace Beach. I like my balcony. I like that the community organises events like ‘Happiness Day’ or the Halloween Event. I like that Emaar puts up decorations for any major holiday, be it Christmas or Ramadan.
I love the community pool, the gym, the nearby restaurants. I love the fact that several of my close friends also live there. We walk to each other’s house. It feels like home.”

Jumeirah Village Circle
“I have lived in JVC for over 5 years since – Hessa Street was still under construction. It was very quiet and the entrance was a bit complicated. People didn’t know this area of Dubai and every time anyone visited, I had to explain where it was located.
Nowadays, JVC is one of Dubai’s most in-demand areas due to so many reasons. It’s close to everything in Dubai and has brand-new buildings for reasonable prices. I think it still needs more retail outlets, restaurants and cafes but there is a mall opening soon that residents are very excited about!”

The Meadows
“I love living in The Meadows, it is the perfect place to live to get away from the bustle of the city life yet it is still quite central and close to restaurants, lounges, supermarkets and much more.
It is a peaceful, and very family orientated community. I have a dog and it’s a great area to take my dog for a stroll around the lake – especially on those lovely evenings during winter where you can see a perfect, postcard-picture view of Dubai’s skyline. I have lived there for over 9 years and I wouldn’t live anywhere else.”

Barsha Heights
“Well, I still call it Tecom, although it has been rebranded as Barsha Heights. I would say it’s the most vibrant and urban community to live and work. The flat I live in is very spacious and has a huge balcony, there is lots of parking and everything I need all in one area. It’s really affordable rent wise so I feel like I’ve got a lot of space for my money.
I have been here for almost a year and the best part about living here is that it is right opposite Dubai Media City – where we have the Bayut office! In other words, I can afford to have late mornings :)”
