BAYUT SPENDS A DAY SPREADING LOVE WITH CHILDREN FROM BEIT AL KHAIR (VIDEO)
The Oxford Dictionary defines philanthropy as “kindness and good deeds inspired by concern for people’s welfare”. Not that we disagree with the Oxford University Press, but we at Bayut.com prefer a term that’s a little more cuddly – ‘Spread the Love.’
The President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan refers to philanthropy as ‘giving’. At the beginning of the year, he famously declared 2017 the Year of Giving. Whatever you choose to call it, the important thing is to practice what you preach and Bayut.com did just that.
As a successful UAE company, we at Bayut count our blessings. Every day we strive to emit good vibrations and provide first-class customer care. This month, we decided to give some of that attention to members of the community who could surely use an extra bit of lovin’ – children without parents.
It is for this reason that the UAE’s No. 1 Property Portal got in touch with the UAE’s biggest charity organisation, the Beit Al Khair Society. We took forty children from Beit Al Khair for a glorious afternoon of fun and games.
The Spread the Love venue was every child’s favourite, Chuck E. Cheese’s. The friendly and fun staffers at their restaurant in Dubai’s Outlet Mall served most boys’ and girls’ favourite food- pizza & chips.
After the snacks, Beit Al Khair’s boys and girls stood up for an array of Chucky E. Cheese style of games, sing-a-longs and dancing. Of course, the pied piper of the group was the global superstar, Chucky, the mouse himself.
The children went on brilliant amusement rides and played a variety of arcade games, such as Racing, Basketball, Hit the Beaver, Dancing Machine, and more. A pair of adorable twins raced against each other, although we cannot tell you exactly which one of them won.
Even the supervisors from Beit Al Khair caught a break from their daily routine and indulged in a taste of delicious doughnuts.
Towards the end, members of the Bayut team brought some extra joy to the children by giving them presents. Cars, helicopters, Barbie dolls, synthesisers…. Toys were strewn across the tables.
Finally, the children posed for pictures and raised their hands in the UAE’s trademark Win, Victory, Love salute. This greeting was introduced back in 2013 by our esteemed UAE Sheikh, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
All in all, Spread the Love was a great event that put smiles on the beautiful faces of Dubai’s future. We hope that our initiative inspires you to donate to the Beit Al Khair Society or to host a similar-style event of your own.
Spread the word on Spread the Love in the Year of Giving.
