Haider Ali Khan is the People’s Choice For Entrepreneur Of The Year 2018!
It’s another proud day for all of us at Bayut! On Tuesday 23rd October, Bayut’s CEO, Haider Ali Khan took home the coveted People’s Choice Award For Entrepreneur Of The Year at the Arabian Business StartUp Awards 2018. He emerged victorious from 11 other finalists with the highest number of public votes, as the most influential and popular entrepreneur in the region.
About the Arabian Business StartUp Awards 2018
First introduced in 2013, the Arabian Business StartUp Awards is one of the most anticipated entrepreneurial competitions within the startup community in the region. This is one of the startup awards that recognise and honours the individuals and organisations that have shown their drive and commitment to achieve excellence. With award categories including Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Start-Up Company of the Year, this award ceremony acts as a regional platform for organisations and innovators to help them continue to drive profit, increase sales, and successfully grow and expand their businesses.
This year’s black-tie event, held in partnership with Al Najah Education, took place at the Le Meridien Hotel in Dubai and hosted over 400 guests from various startup businesses in Dubai and also included the 70 finalists who were shortlisted for all the various categories. Members of the Bayut team were also present to cheer on Mr. Khan, who was one of the fifteen winners at the Arabian Business StartUp Awards 2018, that walked away with an award that night.

On receiving the Award Mr. Khan was ecstatic and expressed his happiness on being awarded. He said:
It’s humbling to know that Bayut is being recognised by the people. As entrepreneurs, we are always focused on growing the business to bring value to the community and it is great to know that the people of the UAE are appreciating our efforts. This award is another stepping stone to our success; the Bayut team is constantly trying to improve processes to bring the best solutions to our end-user and we aim to keep making it better and better for them.”

From Bayut’s launch in 2008, it has consistently grown to become the leading property portal in the UAE. The company’s robust portfolio of properties across all the emirates and information on property trends, that equip investors with the right tools to make informed decisions, has been the main contributor to its success; the fact that Bayut’s CEO has won this award has made it evident that the property portal is making its mark in the region with the industry and consumers alike.
Bayut’s CEO receiving this award at the Arabian Business StartUp Awards 2018 is only the prologue to its success story. The company recently announced that its parent company Emerging Markets Property Group (EMPG) secured a round of $50M in investment funds of which a sizeable portion will be used to further strengthen Bayut’s position in the market.
