Multiple Toilet Roll Suspender
Running out of toilet roll is the worst thing that could happen. This is one of the most simple and quick bathroom storage DIY tips we have, and it can save your day.
For the dimensions, measure the circumference of your preferred toilet paper roll in inches, double it and add 6 to it. Let’s say the circumference of your toilet paper roll is 12 inches, the double of that would be 24, and adding 6 more would make it 30 inches.
The next step is to lay the roll on its side, measure the width and add 2 inches to it. So if your width measures up to 4 inches, add 2 more and you get 6 inches.
You now need two 24 x 6 pieces of thick fabric. Stitch the pieces together, keeping the right side facing inwards and leave one side open.
Turn the tube inside out, add tie-up ribbons to the open end and then stitch it closed. Sew a seam exactly in the middle, which will give you two equal compartments for toilet rolls. And you’re done.
Mason Jar Bathroom Storage DIYs
Mason jars are amazingly versatile and pretty. But most of all, they make incredible storage containers for a lot of things you need in the bathroom. You can use them to store makeup swabs, Q-tips, bath salts, cotton – you name it. They can even be repurposed as toothbrush holders and soap dispensers. Regardless of what you use them for, mason jars can take up a lot of the flat surface on your counter or shelves. There are two simple bathroom storage DIY tips that you can use here:
- Glue small magnets on your mason jar caps and clamp them to a magnetic strip you can easily place under a shelf board.
- Use hose clamps to attach your mason jars to a wooden plank cut to fit your space. Prop the project up above your sink to have everything within your reach.
Use gold paint to glam your mason jars a bit. Alternatively, you can even glue a small fancy drawer knob to add flair.
DIY Bathroom Mirror Storage
Sometimes the medicine cabinet in your bathroom is not enough. Besides, why make do with a small mirror when you can have it full-length? That’s right. DIY a full-length mirror cabinet and kill two birds with the same stone. All you need to do is get a full-length framed mirror and hinge it like a door to a slim wall shelf. Make sure you build the shelf according to the mirror size. Since you will make the entire shelf from scratch, you can customise the width of the cabinet according to your wall space. Pick a wood stain that complements your bathroom interiors and voila – you now have bigger, better and hidden storage. And no more running in and out of the bathroom in search of a proper mirror now!
