Applicants will have to enclose the following documentation for the Bangladeshi passport renewal.

CHANGE OF INFORMATION
Individuals who want to change or alter any information on their existing MRPs — like their name, permanent address, profession and others — must provide the necessary documents as proof of the change. Additionally, they must fill and submit these mandatory form(s).
- For corrections, fill-out DIP form 1 and DIP form 2, which can be downloaded from the official website of the DIP, Bangladesh.
- For changing profession as a technical expert, like an Engineer, Teacher or Legal Practitioner, attach an attested/certified copy of the Professional/Academic certificate with the application.
Applicants are advised against changing any information on their current MRPs unless it is mandatory or typos must be corrected.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
Before submission, applicants must appear at the MRP station to have their biometric information taken at the Embassy’s biometric-enrolment booth — namely, their fingerprints, signature and photograph. Each applicant will be given a token before entering the MRP room.
This information, along with the submitted application, will be sent to the Department of Immigration & Passports in Dhaka via the system. After the biometrics, backend information and payment are verified, the application is sent to DIP Dhaka for printing. The printed MRPs are then delivered to the Bangladesh Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
The received MRPs are sorted, stamped, signed and tagged at the Embassy for delivery to recipients.
PASSPORT DELIVERY
All those who apply for the Bangladesh Embassy’s passport renewal service can collect their renewed MRPs on the dates mentioned on their delivery slips. It takes approximately 30 to 40 working days for deliveries to come through.
Those who arrive at the Embassy to collect their MRPs must have their original delivery slips and old Bangladesh passports. They will receive the new MRP after signing on the slip. The new MRP will be handed over with the old passport.
After reaching the Embassy, the applicants must drop their delivery slips into a red box placed on the ground floor from 08:00 am to 11:00 am. The delivery team collects the deposited slips every hour and sent to the respective applicants.
Company representatives are required to show their Emirates IDs and Company IDs before they can collect their MRPs. Company-based passports are delivered every working day after 02:00 pm, with applicants expected to submit their delivery slips the previous day.
