These Areas Were the Most Attractive to Dubai Renters in June 2017
H1 2017 saw the further decline in rents and more affordability in Dubai for those of us who rent in the emirate – a trend that remained the same throughout the month of June. Bayut’s Data Team went through our database to compile a list of five neighbourhoods of Dubai that were most in-demand in June. These results below are based on Bayut’s substantial number of listings and our ever-growing user engagement, i.e. the number of website hits.
1. Mirdif
‘Spacious’ might be the best way to describe the properties for rent in Mirdif. This area has been consistently popular with expats for the last two decades, due to the good value for money. Even as the city expands and gentrifies around it, the demand for both apartments and villas to rent in Mirdif has never faltered.
2. Dubai Marina
It is no surprise that Dubai Marina has taken the second spot on this list since it is one of the most-talked about areas of the emirate. Not only is it incredibly popular for those who live in Dubai, but it is also a massive tourist attraction. For example, the cluster of buildings known as the ‘Tallest Block in The World’ has become one of the world’s most well-known and photographed skylines.
3. Dubai Silicon Oasis
This Dubai Silicon Oasis residential community was the third most browsed amongst prospective Dubai renters last month. Located a mere 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport, the area is home to a large technology park, which is where the name comes from. There are gated communities filled with villas and apartment buildings in Dubai Silicon Oasis.
4. International City
Situated right next to the largest China market in Dubai, Dragon Mart, the International City community is highly popular with tenants looking for affordable accommodation. Rents for studio apartments in International City averaged AED 44,000 in June. On a monthly basis, Dubai renters pay a little over AED 3,5000 there for studios. At the same time, the area has all routine facilities, making it ideal for tenants looking for ease of living at competitive prices.
5. Al Barsha
The Al Barsha community is consistently popular among renters perhaps most for its convenience. Located in the west of Dubai, it connects to the rest of the city through Emirates Road and SZR. Al Barsha is incredibly close to communities like Media City, Internet City and Dubai Marina. Additionally, there are many residential options for those looking to rent in Al Barsha as the area is home to properties that range from studio apartments to 5-bed villas, all newly constructed and offering the latest features.
