HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY TAQA DISTRIBUTION ACCOUNT?

• To register for a new account visit the official TAQA Distribution portal for new applications.
• You may be required to have a Tawtheeq registration as well for the account.
• Tawtheeq details are used to register your TAQA Distribution account automatically. If you are an owner-occupier and Tawtheeq registration isn’t required, you can register on the TAQA Distribution website or visit one of their branches.
• If you have purchased a property recently or are renting a house in an area that Tawtheeq doesn’t cover, you have to complete a move-in application on the official website.
• For an existing online account, visit the official TAQA Distribution online registration portal.
• To create an account, enter your TAQA Distribution account number mentioned in the Customer Details section of your bill. Then, click SEND ME A PIN CODE below:

OWNERS AND TENANTS NOT REGISTERED WITH TAWTHEEQ

New owners and tenants who are not registered with Tawtheeq or ADGM, or reside outside the areas covered by them, or have recently bought a property, need to request for a new move-in application. It can be done online or by visiting any of the branches.

The following documents are required for registration and to create a TAQA Distribution login account:

• Family Book (UAE Nationals only)
• Passport – ID and Visa pages

• A valid copy of the Premise Ownership Deed or site plan issued by the AD Municipality.

HOW TO INFORM TAQA DISTRIBUTION WHEN YOU’RE MOVING OUT

FOR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES

• When moving out, you can inform TAQA Distribution by visiting the customer centre or informing the contact centre over the phone or online.
• Confirm your move-out date and a final bill will be prepared.
• Decide how you want to receive your deposit back (if applicable)
• You will receive your account closing letter once your final TAQA Distribution bill payment is cleared.

HOW TO INITIATE TAQA DISTRIBUTION BILL PAYMENT?

• TAQA Distribution bill payment is easy and can be carried out online or by visiting one of the customer centres.
• You can also pay via the TAQA Distribution mobile App.
• You can view your bill by registering on the official website. Online payment is possible via credit or debit card.
• If you prefer paying your bills in person, you can visit TAQA Distribution branches in Abu Dhabi.
• There are many TAQA Distribution bill payment kiosks at shopping malls, petrol stations and other locations across Abu Dhabi.
• Visit the official website to locate your nearest bill payment kiosk.

ALTERNATE METHODS TO PAY TAQA DISTRIBUTION BILL

• Another option for TAQA Distribution bill payment is over the phone. Call 800-2332, and the customer service representative will guide you.
• Bill payment can also be made via cheque or pay order. It is mandatory to write your phone number on the cheque you are using and attach it to the payment slip from the bottom of the bill. The posting address is present on the top of every bill.
• To pay the bill, you can also visit Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) or the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD). It can be done over the counter, at an ATM or online.
• Another option for bill payment is to visit an exchange service. Branches of UAE Exchange, Lulu International Exchange, Al Ansari Exchange, Lari Exchange and Al Fardan Exchange have options for such payments. Post offices offer yet another avenue for bill payments in the capital.
• For registered businesses, the Abu Dhabi government’s portal is another option for bill payment.

KEY INITIATIVES BY TAQA DISTRIBUTION ABU DHABI

TARSHEED

Tarsheed is an initiative focused on water and electricity conservation. The main objective outlined is to reduce consumption by 20% by 2030. For homes, TAQA Distribution has launched the initiative to raise awareness about the issue and launched programs that will directly impact conservation efforts.

DIRECT DEBIT IMPROVEMENTS

As a result of this initiative, TAQA Distribution gives customers extra days to pay the bill. They have a ten-day grace period, after which the direct debit is deducted from their respective accounts. Customers get a notification of their direct debit amount and the date the direct debit transaction will take place.

If a Direct Debit fails, customers are notified to ensure the funds’ availability in their account within three days.

ISTIMRAR

It is a direct debit service that makes automatic payments for water and electricity bills. Not only is this a fast and secure payment method, but it also decreases the cost of payment collection.

It deducts payment automatically from the customer’s bank account after the due date. Customers also have the option to go for a fixed bill service, which essentially calculates the monthly average of the bill. The estimated amount is noted monthly for a year during peak winters and summers.
