HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY TAQA DISTRIBUTION ACCOUNT?
- To register for a new account visit the official TAQA Distribution portal for new applications.
- You may be required to have a Tawtheeq registration as well for the account.
- Tawtheeq details are used to register your TAQA Distribution account automatically. If you are an owner-occupier and Tawtheeq registration isn’t required, you can register on the TAQA Distribution website or visit one of their branches.

FOR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES
- When moving out, you can inform TAQA Distribution by visiting the customer centre or informing the contact centre over the phone or online.
- Confirm your move-out date and a final bill will be prepared.
- Decide how you want to receive your deposit back (if applicable)
- You will receive your account closing letter once your final TAQA Distribution bill payment is cleared.

- Bill payment can also be made via cheque or pay order. It is mandatory to write your phone number on the cheque you are using and attach it to the payment slip from the bottom of the bill. The posting address is present on the top of every bill.

TARSHEED
Tarsheed is an initiative focused on water and electricity conservation. The main objective outlined is to reduce consumption by 20% by 2030. For homes, TAQA Distribution has launched the initiative to raise awareness about the issue and launched programs that will directly impact conservation efforts.
DIRECT DEBIT IMPROVEMENTS
As a result of this initiative, TAQA Distribution gives customers extra days to pay the bill. They have a ten-day grace period, after which the direct debit is deducted from their respective accounts. Customers get a notification of their direct debit amount and the date the direct debit transaction will take place.
If a Direct Debit fails, customers are notified to ensure the funds’ availability in their account within three days.

It is a direct debit service that makes automatic payments for water and electricity bills. Not only is this a fast and secure payment method, but it also decreases the cost of payment collection.
It deducts payment automatically from the customer’s bank account after the due date. Customers also have the option to go for a fixed bill service, which essentially calculates the monthly average of the bill. The estimated amount is noted monthly for a year during peak winters and summers.
