Different Types of Races at Dubai Marathon
There will be three types of races at the Dubai Marathon on the 12th of January.
4 km Run
Runners who fancy trying their hand at a marathon can sign up for the 4 km run. All ages are allowed to participate.
10 km Run
A little more challenging than the previous race, you’ll take a 10 km race path. Anyone above the age of 15 can participate.
42 km Run
This race is the ultimate test of endurance. It is open to participants 18 and older and starts and finishes on Umm Suqeim Road, near the Dubai Police Academy.
Group Challenges for Companies
The Dubai Marathon allows group participation in the Corporate Challenge category. It is an excellent opportunity for teamwork and building camaraderie outside the office.
Each team should have at least three people to compete in a 42 km marathon, while five participants must finish a 10 km race.

When can I collect my race run number?
You can collect your specific run numbers from the Adidas store in Dubai Mall on the following dates. You must collect them personally on any of the dates below, as you must provide proof of identity.

- Thursday, 9th January: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
- Friday, 10th January: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
- Saturday, 11th January: 10:00 am to 05:00 pm
Facilities offered at Dubai Marathon 2025
Several facilities are offered to the participants at the Dubai Marathon.
- There will be a medical station with paramedical staff and an ambulance.
- Water stations will be present throughout the track at every 5km.
- Hydration\electrolyte drinks will be available for marathon and 10k runners.
- Toilet facilities on the marathon route will open from 5km to 40km.
- Marathon and 10km Runners will receive a race pack and a ‘baggage bag.’
- All participants will get an official race t-shirt, medal and certificate.
- There will be many live bands and a diverse selection of entertainment facilities for both participants and spectators.
- Food and beverage facilities will be available as well.
Things to consider while entering the world’s famous running event
You need to know a few things before visiting the Dubai Marathon 2025.
- Remember that the temperature will be approximately 10 to 15 degrees Celsius on the race day.
- The race timings will be calculated using ‘Mika Tag’, an electronic timing system. All participants will receive it in their race pack.
- Do not park your vehicle around the racing tracks. Instead, park at the Al Wasl Road junctions (away from the start and finish), in the Mall of the Emirates or the Al Barsha area.
- You should collect your run number yourself, providing proof of identity. In case of any difficulty, send someone with a transcript of the final confirmation letter and Emirates ID card.
- Check whether your run number is mentioned on your ‘baggage bag’.
- Book your taxi beforehand to avoid any hassle.
- There will be a taxi drop-off and collection point after the race on Al Wasl Road.
- Pets are not allowed.
