The student council consists of (15) members. One-third of its members are elected while two-thirds are appointed to ensure that all colleges are represented in the council, provided that the number of council representatives from each college does not exceed (3).
The membership of the council is subject to the following:
- The candidate must be a regular, full-time student.
- Candidate must hold a good reputation.
- The student’s record must be lacking any penalties or disciplinary warnings.
- The student must have a clear criminal record. They must not have been convicted of a felony or crime violating honour or honesty unless granted an exoneration.

- 30% of the college’s honour list from the fees of the credit hours.
- Students should complete at least 15 credit hours in the first or second semester with a GPA of at least 3.6.
- Brothers and Relatives:
- 20% discount for the brothers registered in each semester.
- Students who lose their breadwinner:
- 50% of the tuition fees for students who lose their breadwinner (during their studies). This continues until AAU awards the student a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Children of Employees:
- 50% discount for the children of the university’s academic and administrative staff.

- Scholarship for one semester with a specific percentage.
