TYPES OF GOLDEN INVESTORS IN ABU DHABI
ABU DHABI 10-YEAR GOLDEN INVESTOR VISA
Individuals who are investing in an existing business or establishing their own in Abu Dhabi’s free zones can apply for a 10-year Golden Investor Visa in Abu Dhabi.
To be eligible for this type of golden visa in Abu Dhabi, the candidate must fulfil any one of these requirements:
- The candidate must deposit AED 2 million in an investment fund/bank account within Abu Dhabi.
- The candidate must set up a company worth AED 2 million or more in Abu Dhabi or establish a partnership with an existing or a new company with a financial contribution of at least AED 2 million.
- The candidate must own a company or become a partner in a company that regularly pays federal government taxes of AED 250,000 per year or more.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- The interested candidate is also required to submit official bank statements for the last six months. Please note that the bank can be within the UAE or in a foreign country.
- The candidate must submit a trade licence.
- A tax clearance certificate is also required.
- Commercial Registration Certificate providing evidence of the capital paid in the company and every investor’s ownership percentage.
Please note:
- The investor must retain investments for at least two years after the issuance of the visa.
- This type of visa allows investors to sponsor their spouse(s), children, one advisor and one executive director.

ABU DHABI 10-YEAR GOLDEN INVESTOR VISA FOR REAL ESTATE INVESTORS
The 10-year golden real estate investor visa in the UAE is ideal for those looking to invest in the lucrative property market and settle in the UAE with family. Here are the eligibility requirements for a 10-year Golden Real Estate Investor Visa in Abu Dhabi:
- The candidate must invest in real estate with a gross value of no less than AED 2 million.
- For mortgaged properties, the minimum investment capital must be AED 2 million.
- The investment should be maintained for a minimum 2 years after issuance of the Golden Visa.
- The applicant must have a minimum monthly income of AED 10,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies, or prove financial solvency throughout his stay
Please note: mortgage for investment is only allowed for properties worth more than AED 2 million.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- The candidate must possess proof of real estate investment worth AED 2 million or more for a single/aggregate investment profile.
- Proof of mortgage status (the document should specify whether the property is mortgaged or released) is also required.
