ABU DHABI GOLF CLUB
The oldest golf course in the capital city started as the Abu Dhabi Golf & Equestrian Club with an 18-hole sand course in 1976. But in 1998, it became the capital’s first all-grass course with nine holes designed by Ian Scott Taylor, a well-known British golf course designer.
Presently, this oasis of tranquillity is a Par 70 course with 6,307 yards of dedicated space for male golfers and 5,403 yards for the ladies interested in the game. You can find one Par 5, six Par 4 and two Par 3 at the Abu Dhabi City Golf Club.
Seven spectacular saltwater lakes, the challenging terrain and pockets of ornamental palm trees make this place heavenly. The coaches at the Abu Dhabi Golf Institute are ready to assist both amateurs and professionals. The use of TrackMan Ball radar, video analysis and golf fitness screening ensures that all basics are covered.
Each training session lasts for 45 minutes. A session with a junior instructor costs AED 420 per session, while a senior instructor charges AED 440. The cost of training with the Director of Instruction is AED 535 per session. You can also register for a group session and the Junior Academy offers training to kids and ladies are also welcome to join the club’s golf academy.
