ABOUT ABU DHABI MOBILITY
Abu Dhabi’s transportation mobility management strategy focuses on providing all travellers with a safe and convenient setting. The vision is to enhance the lifestyle of residents and push towards economic growth. With innovative ideas, state-of-the-art technology and sustainability initiatives, the authorities adapt to the requirements as the population grows rapidly. Managing the evolving transportation needs is their foremost priority. This includes land, aviation and maritime transport.
AD Mobility initiatives include increasing road capacity, reducing commute times, expanding the bus fleet and introducing a cycling lane network and the Intelligent Transport Management Centre (iTMC). The iTMC will be a big step in using artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency, alleviate congestion and optimise overall traffic management.
Environmental sustainability is a core part of AD Mobility’s overarching strategy. Recent steps include electrifying public buses, water taxis, trams, expanding cycling lanes and Autonomous Rail Rapid Transit.

There are three areas where policies are outlined.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY POLICY
This policy ensures seamless operations and effective response to crises and emergencies.
To adhere to this policy, the following steps are taken.
- Following federal and local laws and legislations as approved by the concerned authorities (NCEMA7000: 2021 & ISO 22301:2019).
- Identifying business continuity risks, looking at their impact on AD Mobility facilities, and ensuring recovery plans are developed and tested to ensure continued services.
- Be ready to respond to emergencies. Provide support in cases to Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre and government agencies as required.
- Provide training to enhance the skills of employees.
- Ensure monitoring, reviewing and testing of Business Continuity.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Here’s a look at AD Mobility’s environmental policy.
- Align processes and goals with the environmental goals in the UAE Vision 2021 and Abu Dhabi Environment Vision 2030.
- Ensure compliance with the Federal and Emirate-level environmental laws and regulations.
- Find new practices and procedures to conserve energy, water and fuel.
- Analyse AD Mobility services which can negatively impact the environment and take initiatives for pollution prevention and waste minimisation programmes.
- Work on environmental management programs with clear goals to reduce adverse environmental impact.
- Train and provide tools to AD Mobility staff and contractors so they meet the goals of this policy and participate in efforts to prevent adverse environmental impacts.
- Find innovative ways to improve environmental performance.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (OSH)

- Adhere to the Federal and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi OSH laws, decrees and regulations.
- Oversee transport regulations, including occupational safety and health regulations. Focus on preventing workplace incidents.
- Work on programmes to proactively mitigate and manage the health and safety risks at work.
- Work on meeting OSH objectives and programs to bring about positive and lasting improvement in safety and health conditions for the employees.
- Develop a culture of safe behaviour and occupational health awareness among the company, contractors, and service providers.
- Motivate employees to participate in OSH awareness campaigns.
