Zone 7, Hydra Village

Hydra Village, a project by Hydra Properties is divided into several zones. Zone 7 is one such zone.

Located on the Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (E11) that connects Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The Hydra Village zones lie close to Al Raha Beach, Al Raha Gardens and Baniyas. Zone 7 is based on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi which makes it easier for residents to travel to Dubai.

Zone 7 offers a family-friendly lifestyle to its residents. The area is based on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, but it is close to every basic amenity. It is part of Hydra Village, a self-sustained city lying towards the northern side of Abu Dhabi.

The project was launched in 2006 and is in-line with the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision. It is under development and upon completion, the community will be home to over 10k residents.

Popular points of interests are:

• Based near Yas Island and Al Raha Beach
• Popular parks like New Shamama Park and Emirates Zoo are also nearby
• Abu Dhabi International Airport is a few minutes away

Upon completion of the project, the area will be self-sufficient. Zone 7 is among a few completely developed zones in Hydra Village

Properties in Zone 7 Hydra Village are built on an area of 570,155 sq. ft. includes 300 villas. Houses are arranged in clusters of eight lying next to each other, while some villas are arranged in a single series. There are two types of residential units in Zone 7 Hydra Village Abu Dhabi. One is type C2 that boasts 3-bedroom villas while another one is C3 which features 2-bedroom villas.

The villas have master bedrooms with attached bathrooms and built-in wardrobe. The house also have a closed kitchen, living and dining area and a separate laundry area. It also has a small backyard, a roof terrace and secured car parking.

Zone 7 is accessible from Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (E11) which is close to Hydra Village’s entrance. Currently, no buses service Hydra Village. Hailing a taxi or travelling via a private car are better options.

Each villa offers covered car parking space for one or multiple vehicles, depending on the garage area of the villa.

Supermarkets near Zone 7 are in the neighbouring areas. Within a 10-minute drive, one can spot several marts and supermarkets including Baniyas Co-Operative Society, SPAR Express Baniyas and Carrefour Hypermarket.

Carrefour is a retail giant that operates in multiple locations throughout the UAE. It is at an 11-minute drive from the area. Another international retail supermarket is SPAR which is 9 minutes away from Zone 7.

Most sub-communities of Hydra Village are under construction and there will be many mosques in Zone 7 soon. Right now, there are a few mosques near Zone 7 including Mosque Samaha, Masjid Shakhboot Bin Sultan and Souk Mosque.

All these mosques are 7 to 10 minutes away from the area.

New Life Church is 12 minutes away near Al Shahama Old. Other churches near Zone 7 are around 25 to 30 minutes away including St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral, All Saints Anglican Church and Abu Dhabi Assembly of God Church.

There are currently no temples in Abu Dhabi but one is being built. It will most likely be completed by 2021. Meanwhile, residents will have to travel to Dubai to visit Hindu temples. New Gurudwara Abu Dhabi in Mussafah can be visited by Sikh residents in 25 minutes.

Al Reef Girls School for Basic Education is a public school in the area. Aspen Heights British School follows the British curriculum and is operated by the International Schools Partnership (ISP). It is located 14 minutes away from Zone 7.

Al Rahba Hospital was established in 2003. It is a 190-bed advanced secondary care hospital. It is located close to Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway, 8 minutes away from Zone 7. It was UAE’s first hospital to be accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI).

Gulf International Cancer Centre, Tabarak Medical Poly Clinic and Boulevard Medical Center are popular clinics near Zone 7, Hydra Village. You can reach these clinics in roughly 15 minutes.

Zone 7 is based on the suburban side of Abu Dhabi. It is close to residential areas such as:

Al Raha Beach is one of the most popular communities in Abu Dhabi. It offers a luxurious lifestyle thanks to the availability of waterfront villas and apartments. Al Rahbah is a developing community with a few key amenities. It is located opposite Zone 7. Al Bahyah is a large community located near Al Rahbah, its main attraction is the Emirates Park Zoo.

Residents of Zone 7 can spend their time in this mall as it is close to the area.

Residents can also visit Yas Mall and My City Centre Masdar, these options lie 20 minutes away.

Al Barari Restaurant is known for its biryani dishes and if you’re looking to grab a burger head to Truck Burger. Tea Break Cafe’s menu consists of a variety of sandwiches, snacks and burgers as well as hot and cold beverages.

For spending leisure time, residents can spot a number of pubs and bars on Yas Island, roughly 20 minutes away. A few nightlife options near Zone 7 include:

Emirates Park Zoo and Resort is the nearest leisure attraction from Hydra Village Zone 7. It has various separate sections such as the Snakes Alley, Flamingo Park, Bird Park, Petting Zoo, Primate Parade, Reptile House, Wild Life Walk and Giraffe Park. Visitors get to enjoy the experience of feeding various animals such as elephants, giraffes, ducks and tropical birds. This zoo is not more than 10 minutes away from the sub-community.

Residents of Hydra Village Zone 7 can head out to one of the nearest parks. New Shahama Park and Al Bahya Park can be reached in 5 to 9 minutes. Al Bahya Park is a large park filled with rides, games and well-equipped playgrounds.

Zone 7 is one of the recently developed sub-communities in Hydra Village. Those planning to relocate here might have to bear a few limitations in mind. These include lack of basic communal amenities and public transport.
