Zone 6, Hydra Village

Zone 6 is a sub-district of Hydra Village in Abu Dhabi. It is currently under development and will offer 266 villas once construction is completed. The villas will come in 2-bed and 3-bed configurations.

Hydra Village is a leasehold development in Abu Dhabi near the E11 highway. A development of Hydra Properties, the residential project was launched in 2006 and was available for handover in 2012. Most of the zones in the community are under construction, with Zone 4, Zone 7 and Zone 8 completed. According to Bayut and Dubizzle’s Annual Market Report for Abu Dhabi 2020, Hydra Village is one of the top areas for buying villas in the city.

The brainchild of Hydra Properties LLC, Hydra Village is amongst the cheapest areas for buying and renting in Abu Dhabi. The district is divided into 10 zones, one of which is Zone 6. Similar to the rest of the zones in Hydra Village, Zone 6 is also a villa-only sub-community. From Zone 6, it takes around 5 to 10 minutes to access the E11 highway and travel to the rest of Abu Dhabi.

Upon completion, Zone 6 will feature 266 villas with state-of-the-art décor. Residents will have all sorts of amenities at their disposal, such as eateries, medical care, schools, nurseries, parks and retail outlets.

Properties in Zone 6 include 2-bed and 3-bed villas. Covering from 1,848 sq. ft. to 2,047 sq. ft. of built-up area, the villas are centrally air-conditioned with centralised heating too. Every villa comes with a maid’s room, barbecue area, lawn, terrace and balcony. Some of the villas come with pre-configured broadband connection as well as a steam and sauna room too.

The community has caramel-coloured villas adjoined to one another in a series, giving them a neat and organised outlook. The kitchen, powder room, maid’s room, living and dining area lie on the ground floor while the bedrooms can be found on the first floor.

The sub-district is abundant in terms of parking spaces. Every villa comes with covered parking for at least two cars.

Since Hydra Village is still undergoing development at the moment, it does not boast public transportation options. Instead, individuals will have to rely on bus stops and bus stations in the neighbouring areas, such as Al Bahia and Al Shahama.

You can find bus stops and bus stations for Routes 222, 400, 402, A20, 210, 216, 403 and 420 in Old and New Shahama as well as Bahia.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and The Armenian Church of Abu Dhabi are 33 minutes away in Musaffah while St. Joseph’s Cathedral is located at a 38-minute drive in Mushrif.

Gurudwara Mata Sahib Kaur Ji is reachable within a 35-minute drive. Located in Sector M11 in Musaffah Industrial Area, the Gurudwara can be found amidst baqalas and grocery stores.

Schools near Zone 6 Hydra Village are available in Al Bahia and Al Falah Society and can be reached in 18 to 23 minutes by car. These include:

Al Basma British School is another British School that was previously known as Giggles English School at the time of its launch. Classes here range from Early Years to Grade 12

Amity International School operates under the Amity Education Group and consists of classes from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 11, based on the British curriculum.

Ajyal International School is located 23 minutes away and offers American curriculum. Based in 2016, the school has classes ranging from Pre-KG to Grade 12 and functions under the Bin Omer Group in the city.

Yas Mall is one of the largest malls in the city. Enjoying a prime location in Yas Island, the spans over 235,000 sq. m. and houses more than 370 shopping stores. For entertainment purposes, you can head over to the 20-screen VOX Cinemas, the Fun Works Entertainment Zone or opt for rock climbing at Adventure HQ.

My City Centre Masdar is 25 minutes away. Covering 28,000 sq. m. of an area in Masdar City Abu Dhabi, the mall has 70 stores, a Carrefour Hypermarket as well as 18 charging stations for electric cars. A branch of Magic Planet is also available for recreational purposes.

BOA Steakhouse is one of Abu Dhabi’s best steak restaurants. You can also enjoy soups and seafood items at this fine dining restaurant in Eastern Mangroves Promenade. BOA Steakhouse is also a popular beachfront restaurant in Abu Dhabi. Cipriani is one of the top Italian eateries in Abu Dhabi while Cyan Brasserie is a Franco-Arab restaurant.

Emirates Park Zoo and Mandara Equestrian Club are both 15 minutes away in Al Bahia. Emirates Park Zoo is attached to a resort and consists of entertainment options for both adults and children. Mandara Equestrian Club is one of the best places for horse riding in Abu Dhabi. The club has certification from ISO as the first authenticated equestrian club in the United Arab Emirates. Both indoor and outdoor venues are available here for riding lessons.

Yas Island, a premier tourist destination in the city is reachable within a 20-minute drive. It is home to Yas Mall, many upscale restaurants, a waterpark, Yas Marina Circuit, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, a theme park and much more. You can enjoy luxurious staycations in the hotels in Yas Island or revel in concerts at MAD. Another activity you can enjoy at Yas Island is playing golf at the Yas Links Golf Club.

Zone 6 is located in some of the most affordable areas for owning a villa in Abu Dhabi. The area is suitable for families and bachelors alike, owing to its amenities and tranquil atmosphere. However, Zone 6 in particular is still under construction. Those interested in living in Hydra Village can opt for other completed zones for the while.
