University City of Sharjah

The University City of Sharjah is an education district located close to the Sharjah International Airport. Also known as Sharjah University City, this district was established in 1998 by The Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the Supreme Council, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. The aim was to transform it into an educational hub.

The University City of Sharjah is home to more than 20 educational institutions and more than 30,000 knowledge seekers. Inspired by Islamic architecture, the area is surrounded by greenery spanning over 15,000 sq. km.
