Seih Al Burairat is a small neighbourhood in Ras Al Khaimah. It is located in the barren wadis of Hajjar Mountains offering picturesque views of the mountain ranges. When Ras Al Khaimah opened gates to tourism, this part of the emirate was developed to house hotels and cottages. One can find an ongoing residential development on the gravel plain stretched from Ras Al Khaimah commercial district. Seih Al Burairat is more than just a beautiful valley and you can find lots of urban amenities in proximity.

Seih Al Burairat is a locality in Ras Al Khaimah to be transformed into a complete residential haven. Some years ago, one could only spot acacia trees in the area. Today, there are large mansions and a few cosy apartments offering a serene and comfortable living environment. The government built houses in Al Burairat some 20 years ago for the local population. It has been a preferred family-friendly neighbourhood for the Emirati population ever since. But it is slowly becoming popular among expats as well. Residents around the town describe it as a quiet village that holds on to its traditional Emirati vibes. Winters are generally very cold here due to the proximity to the mountain range.

As for properties in Seih Al Burairat, there is a mix of apartments and large mansions. There are a few 1-bedroom apartments for those looking for a reasonable place to live. One can rent these units for AED 18k, per annum. Some landlords also offer flexible rent payment schedules. On the other hand, there are 3-bed and 4-bedroom houses. A standard 3 BHK villa spans across 2,750 sq. ft. while a 4-bed unit may cover around 6,000 sq. ft.

Most properties feature vibrant colour palettes to match the attractive surroundings of the community. Some families have also done fake stone work as was done in ancient times. One may also find full-sized traditional stone houses in the garden area where families relax during evenings.

Al Burairat residents usually walk to their desired destination. The small neighbourhood has all the basic lifestyle facilities as you’d expect from any village setting. But those who drive will find easy access to the main roads. It is recommended to have private conveyance if you are planning to live in Seih Al Burairat.

Al Burairat offers the best of both worlds to residents. Within the community, they enjoy the natural beauty while being located in proximity to the Nakheel’s markets where there are a few eateries, mosques, shops and cinemas. Moreover, Burairat is the main route for lorries so the area is fairly busy during the day. The commercial centre here features a tyre repair shop as well as local eateries and grocers.

Besides the two grocery stores, there are some baqalas newly set up in Seih Al Burairat. Residents get most of the basic items from there. Al Prince Grocery is also a 6-minute drive away.

There are many mosques in Seih Al Burairat at short intervals where Muslim residents can offer prayers. Those looking to visit a church can access Church Nakheel, around 11 minutes away.

Nurseries and schools near Seih Al Burairat include GEMS Westminster School, Ras Al Khaimah American Academy, Little Leader and Red Bus Nursery. Toddlers can enrol in Little Leader Nursery or Red Bus Nursery. Both options are a short drive away in Seih Al Uraibi. GEMS Westminster is one of the most notable schooling options at a short 4-minute drive from Al Burairat.

RAK Hospital and Saqr Hospital near Seih Al Burairat are easily accessible by car. These hospitals provide all kinds of medical assistance.

Seih Al Burairat is one of the localities closer to the valley of Hajjar Mountains. It is surrounded by Seih Al Qusaidat (towards its south), Seih Shihyar (towards west) and Seih Al Uraibi to the north. A little farther, there is Seih Al Hudaibah and Shamal Haqueel.

Manar Mall is around 11 minutes away from Seih Al Burairat. Moreover, RAK Mall is one of the largest shopping centres in the emirate. It is only 12 to 15 minutes away from Al Burairat. The mall houses a range of brand outlets, restaurants and leisure attractions.

There is an Indian restaurant in the community centre. Al Canary Restaurant is 4 minutes away while other options in Manar Mall and RAK Mall can be accessed if you can drive for around 11 to 15 minutes.

Those who would like to go on a long drive can plan a weekend trip to RAK Public Beach. The beach is not crowded and offers a tranquil sunset spot. It is accessible in 16 to 18 minutes by car.

The area is still developing so there aren’t many leisure spots in the vicinity as of now. But one can access RAK Zoo, a kid-friendly location with exotic birds, lions and other animals. Also, there are cycling tracks for kids looking to learn how to bike and horse riding lessons.

Al Burairat is developing into a ‘complete’ residential area. The community can be a bit slow-paced for young individuals since there aren’t many finished projects around. However, it is close to Manar Mall that has plenty of exciting urban amenities.
