Nareel Island is a residential development by Aldar Properties on the coast in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi. It is reserved exclusively for UAE nationals and features private beaches, spacious driveways, a swimming lagoon, and pontoons. The island has residential villa plots spanning 444,264 sq. m. Japanese School Abu Dhabi is a K-9 school in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi. It follows the Japanese curriculum which is recognised by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, Sports and Technology of Japan (MEXT). 

These are accessible in around 5 to 8 minutes from the island.

In case of a medical emergency, one can go to Gulf Diagnostic Center Hospital on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Al Bateen. It specialises in general medicine, orthopaedics, paediatrics and gynaecology. The hospital is around 8 to 9 minutes away from the island.

Nareel Island forms part of Al Bateen near Emirates Palace. It is located near Al Ras Al Akhdar and Al Khalidiyah. Residents and visitors will have access to some key areas in Abu Dhabi including Yas Mall, World Trade Center and the Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Al Bateen Mall is around 9 minutes away from the island. Soon there will be many retail outlets on Nareel Island. As of now, a few malls in the neighbouring localities include Al Khalidiyah Mall and Greenfield Mall.

The island itself has access to the free beaches. Marina Al Bateen Resort is 7 minutes away. Also, Al Bateen Beach, a popular tourist attraction is a little farther from the island.

After the construction is completed, the island will feature residential buildings facing the sea, Etihad Towers and Emirates Palace. The island neighbours some key landmarks like WTC Mall and Abu Dhabi International Airport. It is also close to some major leisure attractions on Yas Island including the Yas Mall.
