A 550-metre strip road running through vibrant neighbourhoods, Liwa Street is a thriving commercial and residential area in the downtown region of Abu Dhabi. Known for housing ultramodern buildings and beautifully landscaped areas, this downtown region is mostly covered by Al Markaziya, which is otherwise referred to as the Central Business District. Hence, Liwa Street Abu Dhabi features gleaming tall towers and skyscrapers and is surrounded by the lush Lake Park.

Hidden between tall buildings yet easily spottable from the northern end, Butti Bin Khadim Mosque is the only mosque on Liwa Street Abu Dhabi. There are many others in the neighbouring communities, roughly 5 minutes away.

There is currently no temple near Liwa Street Abu Dhabi. One is under construction and expected to be complete in 2021. Residents can visit the Shiva and Krishna temples in Dubai. Sikh residents can visit the New Gurudwara Abu Dhabi in Mussafah which is 24 minutes away.
