Finding parking spaces in Corniche Area will be a non-issue for most residents. For residents living in apartment towers, they will receive at least one dedicated parking slot. Some commercial areas have street parking options. These could be free of charge or you’ll have to pay for them – it all depends on the area.

There is no metro service in Abu Dhabi. If you are relying on public transportation, the public bus will be your only choice to get around town. There are a few bus stops located on Corniche Road.

Christian residents will have to drive to the Al Mushrif area to visit the nearest churches. St. Joseph’s Cathedral Abu Dhabi, St. Antonious Orthodox Cathedral – Abu Dhabi and St. George Orthodox Cathedral Abu Dhabi are just a few of the options available. These and many other churches in Al Mushrif can be reached in under 15 minutes.

There is an upcoming Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi known as the BAPS Hindu Mandir. It is located in the Abu Mureikha area. The facilities available to the worshippers include prayer halls, visitor’s centre, learning facilities, exhibitions, play areas, garden & water features and a vegetarian food court. There is no particular date reported for the inauguration of the Hindu temple. It is expected to start welcoming worshippers by 2022. Abu Dhabi Swaminarayan Temple is located nearby.

Hindu residents will have to drive for 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Shiva Temple in Bur Dubai. There are a few other temples in the Bur Dubai area as well. Sikh residents can drive for 30 minutes to reach the New Gurudwara Abu Dhabi in Mussafah.

For Muslims, there are several mosques in Abu Dhabi Corniche Area which are scattered in the various sub-communities. Muslim residents can visit Mosque Saif Bin Hamdan Almansoori, Mohammed Saif Bin Musaed Mosque, Yazid bin Al-Mundhir Mosque and Sheikh Hamed Bin Butti Mosque to name a few.

Many schools in Abu Dhabi Corniche Area offer quality education. International Jubilee Private School offers the American curriculum, Al Muna Academy offers the British curriculum, while Yas Academy School follows the curriculum set by the Ministry of Education (MoE). There is also the Japanese School Abu Dhabi – U.A.E. which offers the Japanese curriculum whereas the Lycee Francais Theodore Monod offers the French curriculum.

There are several hospitals in Abu Dhabi Corniche providing medical assistance to the community. One of the best hospitals in Abu Dhabi, NMC Specialty hospital is located right on Zayed The First Street, close to Sama Tower. This hospital was established in 1975 and specialises in multiple fields in health care.

Another renowned medical facility, Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital located on Khalifa Street, just next to the National Bank of Abu Dhabi. There are a few more reputable hospitals close by such as LLH Hospital Abu Dhabi and National Hospital which are located near Electra Street.

You can find a few branches of KFC, Hardee’s, McDonald’s and Burger King along Zayed The First Street. Popular casual dining restaurants in Corniche Area Abu Dhabi include Flame and Bake Restaurant, La Fontana Restaurant, Jones The Grocer and Sushi Central.

Fine dining establishments can be found in the hotels in Corniche Road and the surrounding areas. The InterContinental Abu Dhabi hotel is located on the edge of Corniche Area. It’s fine dining restaurants include Chamas Churrascaria & Bar which is a Brazillian steakhouse, Byblos Sur Mer serves authentic Lebanese food and Fishmarket, a seafood restaurant. There is also Circo, the hotel’s Italian restaurant, Cho Gao which is an Asian eatery and Belgian Cafe, a pub with a Belgian food menu.

The best thing about living in Corniche Area is its proximity to the beach. In fact, Corniche Beach is just three minutes away via car. Simply get on the Corniche Road and head south until you arrive at Corniche Beach.

However, if you really want to enjoy your weekend in one of the best beaches in the UAE, you should certainly visit Al Bateen Beach Abu Dhabi. It’s 20 minutes away but the drive will certainly be worth it. Al Bateen Beach is a full-blown beach resort with parks and play areas for children. You can also bring your jet ski or boat here to enjoy watersports such as jet skiing, wakeboarding and other water-related fun activities.

The closest landmark in the neighbourhood is Al Etihad Square which is considered a historical landmark. However, the most popular landmarks in the area are situated 10 minutes away in Al Ras Al Akhdar. Here you will find the 7-star Emirates Palace hotel and the Qasr Al Watan presidential palace, which is open for the public to visit.

Outdoor and fitness enthusiasts will certainly enjoy living here as there are plenty of large and small parks on Corniche Road. The Abu Dhabi Corniche Park serves as a place of leisure for the residents. It is one of the best public parks in Abu Dhabi been awarded the prestigious Green Flag.
