Bluewaters Island project is all about beachfront living, luxurious properties, resort-like amenities and tourist hotspots. By following a dedicated route, the passengers will ultimately connect to the Nakheel Harbour and Tower Metro Station. The automatic transport system will have several connecting stations on the island.
GRT will first connect to a transport hub at the first building on Blue Water Island, The Wharf Station. All the taxis and buses will also arrive here first and then connect directly to a tunnel towards the basement. Private vehicles can also access the underground parking area of the residential buildings and retail and hospitality centres. This expansive tunnel extends under the main boulevard and divides the residential area and the retail and entertainment district. The core objective of this project is to minimise the traffic and promote a green, healthy and clean environment.
All taxis, GRT, buses and pedestrians using the bridge arrive at Bluewaters Wharf which is the main precinct at the base of the Ferris wheel. It is a 230,000 sq. m. plaza featuring 164 shops, restaurants, cafes and leisure facilities. Out of these, 132 retail outlets are built below the residential apartment blocks.
The ground floor of residential buildings will feature supermarkets in Blue Water Island Dubai. Meanwhile, some shops and grocery stores nearby include Choithrams Marina and Al Maya Supermarket in Dubai Marina Mall. Both are a 10 to 12-minute drive from the island.
While there are no places of worship on the island yet, there’s a mosque in Dubai Marina around 14 minutes away. Reaching churches in Jebel Ali might also take around 15 minutes or more.

As of now, there are no schools in Bluewaters Island but one can access The American School of Dubai (ASD) in Al Barsha 1 which offers the US curriculum. It is a 17-minute long drive. Another option would be Arcadia School in District 9, Orchid Street. It follows the National Curriculum of England.
