Badrah, Dubai Waterfront

Badrah is a close-knit community of the greater Dubai Waterfront area. Developed by Nakheel Properties, the sub-district stands close to Palm Jebel Ali and offers affordable residences as well as commercial and civic spaces. Diaa, Talla, Manara and Bahaa are the four sub-divisions within the district connected through a centrally-located boulevard. The aim of this community is to offer budget-friendly housing options. The area has townhouses, apartments, office buildings and retail outlets, making it self-sustaining.

Badrah is a self-contained community divided into four zones. Diaa is a residential zone featuring around 600 townhouses and eight low-rise apartment buildings. Badrah and its parent community are currently being populated with residents, at this point this community is too small and thus does not have any regularly organized community events. But residents can go to Ibn Battuta Mall to enjoy cultural festivities and other social events organised by the mall all year.

This project has been envisioned to be a complete and self-sustained urban area. At the moment, some sub-areas within Badrah and the parent community of Dubai Waterfront are under development. It has a very low population. Nonetheless, the availability of public transportation and nearby entertainment venues make living here everything but boring.
