Amargo is a residential cluster in DAMAC Hills 2 (Akoya Oxygen) consisting of 3 and 5-bedroom semi-detached townhouses. The 3-bedroom properties are available in 3 different configurations called, Aknan Villas, Cascades Villas and Play Villas, while the 5-bedroom units are named Mega Villas. Located within an international Golf Community, the neighbourhood is pleasing to the eye. Amargo is away from the hustle and bustle of the main city.

Public transportation in Amargo only involves taxis in the area and online cab services. For the nearest bus stations, residents can find one on Al Qudra Road (D63) at a drive of about 15-minutes.

There is an Akoya community centre in the parent community at a few minute’s drive which serves as the main retail stop for townies. An outlet of the popular hypermarket chain, Carrefour is there. Residents belonging to the Christian community need to drive at least half an hour to reach the nearest churches including The Winning Generation Gospel Assembly on Al Khail Road (E44). The popular church complex in Jebel Ali is also located at almost the same drive. St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church and Dubai Mar Thoma Parish Church are among the list of top churches in Dubai.

A Gurudwara is a religious place for Sikhs and the vicinity of Jebel Ali Village houses the one and only gurudwara of the city, Guru Nanak Darbar. A newly opened Grand Hindu Temple in Jebel Ali is there to cater to the Hindus living in the area.

The master project, DAMAC Hills 2 (Akoya Oxygen) has development plans for a community school and nurseries around the vicinity. Currently, Shining Stars Nursery Dubai is operational; for primary and secondary schools, one can check out the following schools near Amargo:

Akoya Retail Centre in the parent community houses a clinic called Saudi German Clinics DAMAC Hills 2. DAMAC Hills 2 (Akoya Oxygen) is located quite far from the shoreline of Dubai, so residents need to drive a bit to visit beaches. Some beaches near Amargo are Jumeirah Beach, Kite Beach and Marina Beach.

The beaches have plenty of facilities to have a good time with family. A number of activities can be done including swimming, volleyball and sunbathing. Plenty of restaurants and eateries are also present close to the beaches.

Due to the large number of swans, it is also known as Swan Lake.
