Kizad, a vast industrial free zone surrounds the neighbourhood from the northern side.

There aren’t too many schools in Al Samha as of now but there are many other options in the neighbourhood. Al Morjan Kindergarten is an educational institute that provides education for young children. Few options for school-going children include Alsamha School, Al Falahiya Primary and Secondary School and Al Taweelah Primary School. The residential community is 25 minutes from the well-known Raha International School.
Some institutes offering higher education are a 30-minute drive away. These universities near Al Samha include Abu Dhabi University and Khalifa University.
There are many clinics and hospitals in Al Samha which are located at convenient intervals. Well-known hospitals include Al Samha Health Centre, Samha East Clinic and Al Samha Vet Clinic. Accessible after a 10-minute drive towards the south, Al Rahba Hospital in Al Shahama Rahba City is one of the best government hospitals in Abu Dhabi. Burjeel Medical Center in Al Bahia is also there to handle serious medical needs. Also, it is very convenient to find a drugstore as there are a number of pharmacies throughout the neighbourhood.
Located on the E11 highway, residents have access to Dubai. Al Samha is a 26-minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport and a 40-minute drive from Abu Dhabi’s main island and a 13-minute drive from Abu Dhabi’s Kizad Free Zone. The residential community directly connects to the city’s main roads by the E11 Ghweifat International Highway to the east and the E12 Sheikh Khalifa Highway to the north.
Al Rahba lies to the south and is about nine kilometres away. Other residential communities near Al Samha, with less than a 25-kilometre distance, include Al Bahia and Hydra Village.
Since Al Samha is a relatively quiet neighbourhood, one won’t find large shopping malls here. Luckily for the residents, Deerfields and Al Raha Mall are a couple of malls near Al Samha, both less than half an hour away.
For those who enjoy a night out in the city, there is no shortage of restaurants in Al Samha and the surrounding areas. There are plenty of options for food lovers such as Bon Food, Royal Al Samha Restaurant and Rubaia Restaurant. Fast-food restaurants include Popeyes, Texas Chicken and Burger King. Sea-food lovers can dine at Sea Shell Café, whereas those who like Italian food can visit The Pizza Pie Factory or Broccoli Pizza and Pasta.
There are some famous beaches near Al Samha situated a short distance away. For example, Abu Dhabi Kite Beach is the most popular tourist attraction and its just a 21-minute drive away. For more fun, residents can go to Al Raha Beach for a perfect family evening.
Emirates Park Zoo is about 7 miles southwest of the community. This was the first private zoo to ever open in the UAE. Home to more than 1,400 animals, ranging from domesticated animals to rare and exotic wild animals, this family-friendly experience is designed to help visitors understand and appreciate the natural world and learn more about animal rights and conservation.
There are many government offices within the neighbourhood such as Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, Emirates Heritage Club and ADNOC Vehicle Inspection Centre.
Representing the agricultural sector of Abu Dhabi, there are many farm communities such as Warsan Farms and Ajban Farms that lie on the eastern side of Abu Dhabi – Ghweifat International Highway.
There are many landscaped areas in Al Samha but the one that stands out is Al Samha Park. It features swings, benches, barbeque sections, paved walkways and a few sandy areas as well as grassy pastures. One can visit New Shahama Park, which is just 15 minutes away from the community.
A short distance away is Abu Dhabi RC Club ADRCC where model plane enthusiasts come to fly their radio-controlled aircrafts.
Those who like horse riding can drive nearly 29 kilometres north to access Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club.
There are dedicated gyms in Al Samha for fitness enthusiasts and those who like to swim can avail the shared pools of the area to cool down in summer. There are very few lounges in the residential community. However, residents can go for relaxation in neighbouring areas such as Al Reef and Al Rahba.
Every year the flagship event of the community, the Al Samha Traditional Festival attracts many expatriates and high-profile government officials and royal family members. It is organized by the Emirates Heritage Club in Abu Dhabi. The event is usually covered by regional and international TV channels and it has attracted the attention of many social networking enthusiasts as well. People from all over the world come and visit the festival to participate in the festivities and watch special performances.
Al Samha is a new, family-friendly community with stunning indoor and outdoor facilities. The community is located off the road between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, 13 minutes from Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) and less than half an hour away from the port Khalifa. However, people who regularly travel from the island city will have to think twice before moving to Al Samha. The significantly long commute and traffic during rush hour may prove to be challenging for those who have to reach their destinations on time.
