Al Safa 2 is a sub-community within the greater district of Al Safa. The area is home to a few government offices, consulates and medical centres. The block is laced with all amenities to cater to the residents’ needs including mosques, supermarkets and leisure spots. Residential properties in Al Safa mainly consist of independent villas. The sub-district is bordered by wide streets including Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) in the east, Al Manara Road in the south, Umm Al Sheif Road in the north and Al Wasl Road (D92) in the west.

Like many of its neighbouring areas, Al Safa 2 is also home to a few compound villa communities. Compound villas are often small gated communities in the area. Some of the pros of living in a villa compound are that it offers a safe and secure environment, a tight-knit community and access to shared amenities.
One of the most well-known compounds in Al Safa 2 is Bayti 22, managed by Meraas Group. As the name suggests it is home to 22 villas. The compound features 4-bed villas each with a maid’s room, laundry room and landscaped gardens. The compound also provides access to facilities such as pools, gyms and children’s play areas. The Bayti 22 compound is located close to Al Safa Park 2.
There is also the pet-friendly Al Wasl Village compound which features 26 semi-detached 4-bed villas, each with its own private pool. All villas also have a private garden and terrace, a barbecue area, a laundry room and a maid’s room. Each unit offers 3,206 sq. ft. of living space. The Al Wasl Village villa compound is located along Al Wasl Road, near Spinneys in Al Safa 2.

There is no shortage of supermarkets in Al Safa 2. There is a large Spinneys supermarket in Al Safa 2, in the Umm Suqeim Center. Additional amenities at this branch of Spinneys are a recycling facility and a post box. Spinneys is located close to the Al Wasl Village villa compound. There are a few smaller grocery shops in the community such as Asghar Aziz Grocery, Jabal Al Madina Grocery and Rayhan Al Wadi Grocery.

This sub-community is known for high levels of commercial activity. There are several government offices and consulates here. Those who prefer peaceful surroundings might have a little trouble adjusting to this community. But for most people, the convenience of living here outweighs this minor issue.
