Al Ruwaikah, previously known as Al Manaseer is a residential district of Al Muwaiji set on the southern end of the parent community. It is one of the six sub-communities featuring apartments and villas in different layouts. The sub-community is home to Al Muwaiji Healthcare Centre a multispecialty healthcare facility in the area. It offers services for general medicine, orthodontics, dermatology, gynaecology and ophthalmology. It is positioned in the centre of the community so that residents can easily access the facility from anywhere. Other clinics nearby are Al Mamoom Medical Centre and Careplus Medical Centre.
Al Ruwaikah is set amongst the popular residential communities of Al Ain. Towards the eastern side lies Al Mnaizfah and Hai Khalid while Shareat Al Muwaiji is on the north-eastern side. Majlood and Oud Bin Sag Han are other sub-communities of Al Muwaiji located nearby. Other well-developed districts near the residential community are Al Mutarad and Falaj Hazza.
There are two shopping malls near Al Ruwaikah located a less than 15-minute drive. These include Al Jimi Mall and Al Ain Mall.
Listed among the best malls in Al Ain, Al Jimi Mall features a range of retail outlets, dining options and entertainment facilities. Al Ain Mall is home to around 350 retail outlets of local and international fashion brands and ample parking spaces. Popular stores in the mall are Chanel, Lee Cooper, Prada and Dior. It also has a cinema and an outlet Carrefour supermarket facilitating visitors. Other malls nearby are Bawadi Mall and Remal Mall.
There are plenty of restaurants in and around Al Ruwaikah offering a wide range of cuisines. These include Casa Romana, Starbucks, Crowds California Burger, Sardina Seafood Restaurant and Al Ajwa Restaurant.
Residents planning a day out at the beach with family must prepare for a long drive as the residential community is located in an inland area. The coastal area of the emirate is accessible in a two-hour drive via Sweihan Road. Popular spots include Yas Beach and Al Raha Beach.
In a 10-minute drive lies the notable Qasr Al Muwaiji. It is a 100-year-old structure that served as the generational home of the Al Nahyan family, a fort and then after its restoration, it was declared the UAE’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012. It is the birthplace of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan which is why the exhibition showcases his life. The fort hosts different events and offers several amenities such as parking, a multimedia guide and an outdoor area with date trees.
Other must-visit spots near the community are Al Ain Zoo and Al Jahili Fort.
The residential community is home to Al Wadi Park with dedicated play areas for children, courts for tennis, volleyball and basketball and lush green spaces. It is located on the southern end of the community. Other parks nearby are Al Ain Ladies Park and Al Jahili Park.
Golden Sports Centre is an indoor sports facility for children where they can learn Zumba, Taekwondo, swimming and other activities. The sports centre has qualified trainers for children aged between 4 to 15-years-old.
Two beauty salons for the ladies are in the vicinity namely, Tamasi Beauty Centre and Hush Spa Ladies Centre. Ladies have to travel for 6 to 8 minutes to reach these salons.
Al Ruwaikah is a small area with multiple residential options. The only problem is that it is part of a secluded area with limited recreational facilities.
