The residential areas of the neighbourhood are located closer to the city and border Al Twar and Muhaisnah. Al Qusais Industrial Area borders the emirate of Sharjah and the Al Nahda Dubai community. Situated along Al Ittihad Road in the western corner of Al Qusais Residential Area, Al Mulla Plaza is one of the first shopping centres established in Dubai and is also considered a regional landmark. Though it is a local community park, it is known to draw visitors from different neighbourhoods. This family-friendly leisure spot has a large pond and other amenities such as a two-kilometre long and three-metre wide jogging track, courts for different sports and a cafeteria.
Apart from Al Qusais Pond Park, there are a couple of parks located in Al Qusais 1 and Al Qusais 2 residential areas – one is near Masjid Al Ansar mosque and the other behind Damascus Street.

Those looking for large properties such as villas to live in will have a tough time. This is because Al Qusais mostly provides flat accommodations for singles, small and medium families. The area is also at a significant distance from communities based in ‘new’ Dubai, such as Dubailand and Palm Jumeirah. Since a large portion of it is industrialised, people who prefer living in quieter communities may want to think twice before settling in Al Qusais.
