Al Qulayaah is located in the north-western region of Sharjah. It is one of the seven communities in Al Sharq district. It is surrounded by residential communities such as Al Mujarrah, Al Fisht and Bu Tina.

The community location is ideal since basic amenities lie in proximity to the apartment buildings. There is a mix of residential and commercial properties in Al Qulayaah and most of the area is occupied by tall buildings. Thanks to the growing tourism trend, many 5-star hotel apartments have also been constructed in Al Qulayaa area in Sharjah.

Al Qulayaah is a family-friendly neighbourhood surrounded by grocery stores, local eateries and playgrounds. There are many apartment buildings with shops on the ground floor, residents are just a few minutes away from basic facilities. The environment is calm and clean but the streets are bustling with people shopping or socialising.

The streets in Al Qulayaah usually have tall buildings and one can expect a good range of residential apartments, some commercial suites and retail shops. However, It is hard to find vacant and ready-to-move-in flats that are up for sale.

Just a few blocks from Sharjah Museum, near Zulekha Hospital, there is a series of low, mid, and high-rise buildings connected to the important areas of the emirate.

Properties for rent in Al Qulayaah consist of studio apartments, 1-bed, 2-bed and rare to find 3-bed and 4-bed flats.

There are few apartments for sale in Al Qulaya’ah, Sharjah available in 2-bed configurations at a price of AED 300k.

Plans to establish public transportation in Al Qulayaah are under process. Until then, it is recommended to use a taxi to get around. Driving around the town is the best option if you own a car. However, if you prefer using public buses, Al Rolla Bus Stop and Al Jubail Bus Station are 10 minutes away by car.

Juma Mubarak Supermarket and Sabah Al Khair Supermarket are local supermarkets in Al Qulayaah. All of these shopping stores cater to the day-to-day needs of the residents. Lulu Centre is also only 4 minutes away in Rolla Area, it is a widely preferred option for all kinds of household and grocery items.

Umm Al Qura Mosque is right in the centre of this community. It is a large mosque with a separate prayer area for women and a large parking space. There are some other communal mosques in Al Qulayaah and in nearby areas such as Al Kuwaiti Mosque in Al Sharq and Bin Darwish Mosque in Al Mujarrah.

Some churches near Al Qulayaah include the one in Rolla Area reachable within a few minutes. Church of Sharjah, Malayalam is a preferred choice. Many other churches can be found in the Al Yarmook district, 12 minutes away.

There are no temples in this area but a few can be found in Dubai like Shiva Temple in Al Fahidi Street, opposite Dubai Museum. The Sikh gurudwaras are also located here, roughly 30 minutes away from Al Qulayaa area in Sharjah.

Some preferred schools in Al Qulayaah include Pace International School. It follows the CBSE curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 9. There are a number of options in the neighbouring areas like Bu Tina and Sharqan. Notable educational institutions are Al Amaal English High School, Al Khaleej Nursery, Almanar School for Girls, Al Dana Nursery and Al Saada Nursery.

Higher education options can be found in University City of Sharjah, 30 minutes away from Al Qulaya’ah Sharjah.

Some reputable hospitals near Al Qulayaah are Thumbay Hospital and NMC Medical Centre in Rolla Area. Zulekha Hospital in Al Nasserya is one of the top hospitals in Sharjah.

Many pharmacies are also accessible within a few minutes such as Aster Pharmacy in Bu Tina, Life Pharmacy and Makkah Pharmacy in Al Nasserya.

Situated amidst cosmopolitan districts of Sharjah, the community is a close neighbour to Bu Tina, Al Mujarrah and Al Fisht.

Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization is also nearby at about a 5-minutes drive and Sharjah Aquarium near Al Meena Street is only 12 minutes away.

A drive across the streets will take you to small shopping malls in Al Qulayaah with retail outlets. If you’re looking for a nice weekend out with friends and family, head out to My City Centre Nasseriya on Sheikh Sultan Bin Saqr Al Qasimi Road. It features a few retail and dining outlets, banking services and a Carrefour hypermarket.

The Grand Avenue is a large mall in the nearby area of Al Nasseriya. The mall features 90 retail stores, a large food court and many casual dining restaurants. The mall also has six residential buildings, a mosque and a park built alongside it.

There are plenty of restaurants in Al Qulayaah to choose from for family gatherings and casual meetups. Lauberge Restaurant is a casual restaurant with a dedicated barbeque menu. Nahar Riveria serves delicious authentic Sudanese food and Kabab Bazar in Corniche Street is good for Pakistani and Indian barbeque items.

Seashell collectors and those fond of swimming can have a nice get-away at Sharjah Beach near Al Qulayaah. It is one of the best beaches in Sharjah featuring a separate swimming area and a children’s zone. The Radisson Blu Resort is close to Sharjah Beach.

Other beaches such as Al Mamzar Beach and Al Khan Beach are 20 minutes away. They offer a wide range of amenities and activities.

There isn’t a lot to do in the area but Sharjah’s major landmarks are located nearby. It will take a few minutes to reach Al Mamzar Beach, a happening leisure spot with water sports and ongoing festivals.

Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization is also 5 minutes away from the residential side. Here many can view ancient carvings, cultural displays, art pieces and ancient calligraphy works.

There are some parks and playgrounds in Al Qulayaah where residents can walk, jog and stroll with pets. Al Fisht Park, Al Qasidiya Park and Al Mujarrah Park are some close-by choices here. Al Majaz Park on Corniche Street is one of the beautiful parks in Sharjah, accessible in less than 10 minutes.

The community does not host any events in particular but a few can be attended in nearby areas. Sharjah Light Festival is celebrated every year in several parts of Sharjah like Al Noor Mosque, Al Qasba and Al Majaz. It involves entertainment programs, musical shows and performances by renowned artists.

It should be considered that Al Qulayaah is a land of apartment buildings and hotel suites. There are no private villas or townhouses. Therefore, it is more feasible for people to find apartments for rent in Al Qulaya’ah Sharjah as freehold properties for sale are rare.

Al Qulayaah is one of the residential sub-community of Al Sharq in Sharjah.

It is recommended to get a taxi for an easy commute. You can also catch a bus from Al Rolla Bus Stop and Al Jubail Bus Station, both accessible at a 10-minute drive.
