Al Manama in Ajman is a peaceful district located about 60 km to the east from the city centre. The region is known for its picturesque surroundings and the awesome views of the Hajar Mountains. Since the land is particularly fertile, large parts are dedicated to growing agricultural crops.

Manama Ajman has the majestic Hajar Mountains in the backdrop and is known for its pleasant scenery, historic fortresses and vineyards. Nature lovers will enjoy exploring the surroundings dotted with Acacia, flowers and Asiatic honeybees. Three fortresses attract history buffs to the district. One can find all the basic urban amenities like supermarkets and eateries within easy reach. Lush, green parks and open fields are the highlights of Al Manama.

There plenty of local retail stores in the area such as Baqala Al Ikram, Mafzan Ahmed Mubarak and Baqala Dasmaan. All these small stores are within walking distance of the residential areas.

Popular supermarkets in Manama Ajman are Noor Al Madina Supermarket, Saif Supermarket and Market Square. These stores are a 6-minute drive away from the region.

Muslim residents can find several mosques in Al Manama. The most popular one is Al Manama Grand Mosque, which is just a 5-minute drive away. Jamia Hameed Ibn Rasheed Al Naeemi Mosque is another mosque in the vicinity.

To visit a church, one has to drive for about 43 minutes to get to Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church and St. Gregorios Orthodox Church in Fujairah. Saint Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Ajman is also a 50-minute drive away from the region.

Nurseries in the vicinity include Suheela Advanced Kindergarten and Al Manama Charity School. Both are approximately a 6-minute drive from the neighbourhood. Masafi Kindergarten, Al Shaima Primary School and Nursery Al Dhaid approximately 18 minutes away.

Schools in Al Manama include Ben Hazim School For Boys, Al Noaimeyah School for Girls and Al Sabah Indian Private School. Al Noaimeyah School for Girls is an 11-minute drive away from the region.

The University of Sharjah is one of the best Universities in Sharjah. It is approximately a 50-drive away.

For healthcare, popular clinics the area include Al Dhaid Health Center and New Zulekha Medical Centre. All these are located at about an 18-minute drive. There are some private clinics in the vicinity too such as Berlin Medical Centre.

Hospitals near Al Manama include Al Dhaid Hospital and Al Maliha Medical Centre. Both are approximately a 20-minute drive from the region.

As stated earlier, Manama Ajman is an agricultural area offering a few residential properties. Most neighbouring areas of Al Manama are not well-developed. However, Al Dhaid community located on the south-western side has plenty of amenities like healthcare facilities, supermarkets and schools.

Presently, there are no malls in Al Manama. But the upcoming Al Dhaid Mall will be a 14-minute drive away from the district. Once completed, it will provide an extravagant shopping, dining and entertainment experience to visitors.

Residents can also buy essential items from local shops in the vicinity such as Al Fard Shoes and Roman Perfume. Since the area is involved in bee farming, Al Najeh for Honey & Bees Equipments is also located nearby.

Popular malls in Ajman such as Ajman City Centre and Dana Mall are about an hour away. Al Manar Mall in RAK is roughly a 50-minute drive away from the region.

Food lovers can find several local restaurants in Al Manama. Fast-food lovers can visit Al Sanafi Fast Food Restaurant. Reef Al Manama Restaurant serves Pakistani cuisine. It is a 3-minute drive from the residential area. Sabr Al Manama Cafeteria is another restaurant serving a variety of cuisine at affordable prices. Other eateries in the vicinity are Shamal Restaurant, Firdous Restaurant and Seeh Al Shai Cafeteria.

Getting to beaches near Al Manama takes about an hour. Sandy Beach, Umbrella Beach and Khorfakken Beach are all located at a 46-minute drive in the northern emirate of Fujairah. Umbrella Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Fujairah. There’s a dedicated play area for the kids to enjoy to the maximum. Khorfakkan Beach is a popular tourist destination offering lots of fun-filled activities. You can book your watersports and boating trips with local tour guides to have an adventurous day at the beach.

Notable landmarks within Manama Ajman are its two fortresses – The Red Fort and The White Fort. These sites host community activities during holidays. The White Fort, originally named Al Mareer Fort, now houses the Al Manama Museum. The Red Fort dates back to the 20th Century and consists of four rooms in two towers. Gravel and red plaster were used to construct the walls; hence it got the name The Red Fort.

The highlight of the community is the Hassa Buweid Castle. This castle was constructed in 1976 as a fortress by H.H. late Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. Hassa Buweid means ‘white stones’ and it takes its name from the hills that form its base.

Masafi Fort is another popular tourist attraction located in the neighbouring emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Other attractions such as Wadi Shis, Al Raugh Tunnel and Al Multaqa Tunnel are a 30-minute drive away from the neighbourhood.

For outdoor activities, there are numerous parks in the vicinity. Al Hisn Ladies Park, Al Suwaih Park and Al Sherei’ah Ladies Park are all around 20 minutes away. Al Hisan Ladies Park is a great place to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings while Al Suwaih is another popular destination with vast green spaces and a big playground.

Residents can keep fit at fitness centres in the vicinity such as DSC, Al Manama Trabalho and Giant Gym. All these gyms are located at about a 15-minute drive from the residential area. Ladies can check out the Al Dhaid Ladies Club.

While Manama Ajman isn’t the most luxurious neighbourhood, it has everything one would need for comfortable living at a short drive. Perhaps the only downside is that shopping and entertainment options are limited at this point in time and it requires a long drive to reach them.
