Al Mahatah is a mixed residential and commercial suburb of Sharjah in the Al Qasimia district. Location-wise, it enjoys seamless connectivity to the key landmarks of Sharjah. First, it was planned as a big project of numerous buildings with residential and serviced apartments.

Al Mahatah Fort was just one of these buildings that served as a motel for tourists and as a short staycation spot. This fort has now purposely turned into Al Mahatah Museum, which displays historical innovations and crafts of old industries.
