As the name suggests, Al Mafraq Industrial Area (commonly referred to as Mafraq Industrial Area) is a commercial district in the UAE capital. It forms part of Al Mafraq and Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi and is home to Al Wathba Wetland Reserve, Al Mafraq Workers City and Al Mafraq Waste Water Treatment Plant. The industrial area mainly facilitates setting up of companies related to different sectors. It also features commercial units including shops and offices and labour camps to accommodate workers in the area. The development is bound by Al Rawdah Road and Abu Dhabi – Al Ain Truck Road E30 that further connects to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Industrial Road, E11.

As a commercial area, Al Mafraq facilitates the development of different industries. There are many commercial units and offices already occupied by a range of companies. Also, located closer to the main roads, Al Mafraq Industrial Area facilitates frequent commute and logistics.

As for shopping malls near Al Mafraq Industrial Area, there are some options in the neighbouring localities. Baniyas Mall on 9th Street Baniyas East is 19 minutes away. Besides, there are a few cooperative shops and hypermarkets within the area.

Many restaurants in Al Mafraq Industrial Area have been set up for those who work here. For Pakistani cuisines, one can head to Nawala Restaurant or Chutney Restaurant. Hameem Beach is around 30 minutes from Al Mafraq Industrial Area. This beach in Abu Dhabi isn’t as crowded as other popular venues.

Mafraq Industrial Area is home to Wathba Wetland Reserve. The flamingo herd at the reserve is a sight to behold. Wathba Palace is another landmark close by.

Baniyas Public Park and Ladies Garden are close to the industrial area. Both parks have a kids’ playground and jogging tracks. There are a few gyms in Mafraq Industrial Area such as Spartans Body Building Club and Al Eshush Fitness Centre.

Al Mafraq Industrial Area does not have any medical service provider as of now. But there are some pharmacies as well as speciality clinics in proximity. Similarly, hospitals in Baniyas are also easily accessible.
