Al Howaelat, Ras Al Khaimah

Al Howaelat is a suburban area of Ras Al Khaimah set on the UAE-Oman border. It is a small village situated about 120km away from the central city, close to the Al Hajar mountainous range. The area consists of villas mainly and plenty of communal facilities such as grocery stores and mosques. Al Huwailat Road and Al Munayi Road run in the heart of the district, providing easy accessibility to neighbouring areas.

Al Howaelat also spelt Huwaylat and Al Huwailat, is a family-friendly area with all the basic amenities and facilities in easy reach. The well-connected road network is another feature of the peaceful neighbourhood.

Properties in Al Howaelat include standalone villas, mainly available in different configurations. These villas have modern facilities such as expansive rooms, fitted kitchens and private parking spaces.

Since the community is a bit far from the central city, the means of public transportation are limited. However, there are a few bus stations in the neighbouring area of Hatta accessible in a 15 to 20-minute drive.

Getting around the city using private conveyance is convenient as the area offers a well-connected road network. There are two roads running across the residential area; Al Huwaylat Road and Al Munay Road. Driving via Al Huwaylat Road, residents can easily connect with Dubai – Hatta Road (E44) in a 20-minute drive, while the latter one will take about half an hour to reach Maleha via Sharjah – Kalba Road.

To offer daily prayers, residents can head to Sheikh Rashid Mosque and Shamsah Bint Mohammad Mosque in Al Howaelat. Besides these two mosques, residents can also find several community mosques within easy reach.

Parents with school-going children can find plenty of educational institutes in the neighbouring community, Hatta. The notable ones include Rashid Bin Saeed Secondary School for Boys, Hatta Primary School for Boys and Al Basateen Private Kindergarten. All these schools near Al Howaelat are accessible within a 20-minute drive.

Residents can seek medical assistance from Hatta Hospital near Al Howaelat Ras Al Khaimah. It is a multi-speciality hospital offering premium healthcare services to patients. The hospital provides treatment for cardiology, dermatology, dentistry and other diseases. It will take an 18-minute drive to reach the hospital. Other clinics nearby include Munai Health Centre and Sarah Medical Centre.

Al Howaelat is set amongst the notable areas of three emirates; Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai. In a 16-minute drive lies the historical village of Dubai, Hatta, while home to pre-Islamic forts, Maleha is on the northern side of the city. Other neighbouring areas include Wadi Al Qor and Rafaq.

There are plenty of tourist attractions in and around the neighbourhood. Those interested in hiking can head to Copper Hike Start in the area or experience kayaking at Hatta Dam. Other landmarks nearby include Masfoor Castle and Al Bithnah Fort.

There is no shortage of restaurants in and around the area offering a wide range of delicious meals. The popular ones are Al Kaabi Cafeteria, Naseem Al Seehe Popular Restaurant and Tuti Fruiti Cafeteria. Other dining options nearby are Al Tamim Restaurant, Jeema Restaurant and Tanoor Restaurant.

There is a family park in Howaelat with lush green spaces and a dedicated play area for children. It is located next to Al Munayi Road. Other parks nearby are Wadi Al Helo Park and Hatta Community Park.

Ladies can head to Afsara Beauty Salon and Lavendar Beauty Salon near Al Howaelat for beauty care treatments. Both salons are easily accessible within a 20-minute drive.

Al Howaelat is a peaceful residential area in Ras Al Khaimah with all the necessary facilities. However, it is tucked away from the central city and requires about A 2-hour drive to reach the key areas of the emirate.
