There are many community mosques near Al Qurm located at short intervals. A few options include Sultan Bin Rashid Al Dhaheri Mosque, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Mosque and Ali Salem al-Kaabi Mosque. The magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is 10 minutes away, at a distance of 8.6 km. It is the largest mosque in the UAE and is frequented by the nearby community members. The mosque is also crowded during Islamic festivals and public holidays.
The lack of churches in Al Qurm can be easily made up by the ones in Al Mushrif community, 15 minutes away. A few options include St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral, St. Joseph’s Cathedral and St Andrew’s Church.
Hindu residents will have to travel to Dubai to visit the Shiva and Krishna temples. These are located in the Bur Dubai area alongside a few other temples. Sikh worshippers can find the New Gurudwara Abu Dhabi in Mussafah, roughly 17 minutes away.

Out of the several souks in Abu Dhabi, Souk at Qaryat Al Beri is the closest one from Al Qurm. It is a waterfront shopping destination featuring several Arab fashion outlets and designer brands along with fine dining spaces.
There’s a whole cluster of restaurants near Al Qurm, each with its own unique menu. Al Seef Village Mall and its outdoor The Market have many such offerings. The nearest fine-dining restaurants are located in the Eastern Mangroves area. Pachaylen in the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel is a well-known Thai restaurant. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a key landmark for all of Abu Dhabi and it is located only 9 minutes away from Al Qurm. Around 40,000 people gather in the largest mosque of the United Arab Emirates every year to offer Eid Prayers.
Moreover, Zayed Sports City is also a major highlight of this area that has many facilities for sports fans and professional athletes. There are many activities on offer in Zayed Sports City, you can try your hand at ice-skating, basketball, football, paintball, tennis, golf, rugby and more.
Those who like greenery can consider moving to Al Qurm since there are plenty of public parks with playgrounds around the community. These developments have walking tracks, jogging tracks and pathways built for riding bikes. The Sports City Garden is a famous spot for families to sit back and relax and enjoy a couple of matches and tournaments from the terraces. Furthermore, Khalifa Park is also a nice place for picnicking. It has a small maritime museum for visitors to explore as well.

It may get a little tricky to travel in Al Qurm if you prefer public transport as there is only one bus that passes nearby. However, the problem is partially solved with the availability of taxis and online cab services.
